Job Description:

•  Supporting deployment of on-site data centre physical infrastructure.
•  Installing, replacing and troubleshooting Cables and Hardware.
•  Handling data bearing devices (ex. hard drives, solid-state drives, etc.)
•  Working within a ticket-based environment.
•  Movement of equipment using pallet jacks or other assisted lifting equipment.
•  As required, assisting the Datacentre Inventory and Asset Management Team (DIAT) with shipping/receiving and inventory management to address high work volumes.
•  Flexibility to work non-standard business hours that may include weekends and/or holidays.
• Must be willing to do overtime and standby when necessary.

Skill sets:

•  Basic knowledge of computer hardware and components.
•  Six (6) months or more handling/maintaining any technical equipment or machinery.
•  1+ years’ experience supporting IT equipment or related technology.
•  Applicable certifications: CompTIA (A+, Server+, Network+), Basic Structure Cabling (BSC).
•  Ability to support frequent standing, walking, lifting, and working at heights with or without equipment assistance.

Purpose and Scope

Carry out inspections as per daily maintenance schedule; attend defects, breakdowns, including the repairing of Mechanical Equipment.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

· Conduct disassembling and assembling of Mechanical Equipment & Familiar with Boiler statutory inspections

· Hands on experience of valves, pumps, compressors, piping, safety valves, control & shutoff valves etc

· Assist the Maintenance Mechanical Engineers to troubleshoot/ fault diagnosis/ failure analysis to determine cause of failure.

· Assist the Maintenance Mechanical Engineers to develop Risk Assessment and mitigation measures for every Maintenance job in the plant

· Apply for Permit to Work (PTW) as the Competent Person (CP) for every Maintenance work in the plant

· Supervise contractors and liaise with other maintenance crafts and operations technicians to execute maintenance activities

· Withdraw and prepare spares from warehouse for job execution.

· Prepare daily updates on Maintenance activities for the day to all stakeholders (operations)

· Flexibility in supporting other Sembcorp plants whenever required.

Qualification, Skills and Experience

· Min Higher- Nitec or Diploma in Mechanical engineering field

· Preferably minimum 5 years of experience in the relevant maintenance fields in a power plant / petrochemical industry

· Be familiar with Computerized maintenance management system.

· Good team player and able to work well with other members and stakeholders.

· Strong interpersonal, communication and management skills.
