Reporting to the Facilities Manager, you will use your technical expertise to support the Facilities department in maintenance and repair tasks on the interior and exterior of IKEA Tampines building.

Your assignment

• Manage and attend to requests relating to mechanical and HVAC systems in the building (e.g. fire protection system, sprinkler, air compressor, chiller checking, AHU checking, etc.)
• Perform investigation and rectification works and update the Supervisor/ Technical Officers.
• Perform and ensure all preventive maintenance works are carried out according to the maintenance programs and procedures.
• Carry out any ad-hoc maintenance or repair work as assigned while ensuring safety first.
• Follow up and provide timely updates to Team leader and Manager on the status of the request.
• Identify and report the need for repairs or breakdown issues.
• Undertake other duties as per assigned.

Your profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in facility/building maintenance.
• Possess at least a Professional Certificate/NiTEC in Mechanical/Electrical or equivalent.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Possess a good safety mindset and displays good WSH behaviour.
• Effective team player with good attention to details and strong follow-up skills.
• Strong multi-tasking ability and able to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Able to commit working on AM & PM shift, including weekends and public holidays.

The AV Technician is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining audiovisual equipment for events and meetings at Mondrian Singapore Duxton. This role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills to ensure all events are delivered seamlessly and exceed guest expectations.

How your day looks like?

 AV Setup and Operation

• Set up, test, and operate audiovisual equipment, including projectors, microphones, speakers, soundboards, lighting systems, and video conferencing tools.
• Ensure all AV equipment is installed and functioning properly before events.
• Operate AV systems during live events, addressing technical issues as they arise.

Maintenance and Troubleshooting

• Perform regular inspections and maintenance of AV equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly and efficiently to minimize disruptions.
• Coordinate with external vendors for repairs or replacement of faulty equipment when necessary.

Client and Team Support

• Collaborate with clients to understand their technical requirements and provide tailored solutions.
• Work closely with the Events and Banquet teams to align AV setups with event layouts and schedules.
• Train and guide hotel staff on the proper use of basic AV equipment

Documentation and Inventory

• Maintain accurate records of AV equipment usage, inventory, and maintenance schedules.
• Prepare reports on AV system performance and suggest upgrades or improvements.
• Ensure all AV equipment is stored securely and accounted for after each event.

Event Execution

• Provide on-site technical support during events to ensure smooth operations.
• Monitor AV systems throughout the event, making real-time adjustments as needed.
• Assist with event debriefs to identify areas for improvement in AV service delivery.

Requirements

• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in AV setup and operations, preferably in the hospitality or events industry.
• Strong knowledge of AV equipment, systems, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Familiarity with video conferencing platforms and streaming technologies.
• Proficiency in lighting, sound mixing

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the sampling and collection of swimming pool water samples.
• Responsible for the collection of water, food and petroleum samples.
• Responsible to ad-hoc samples collection as and when customer requested.
• Responsible to dispatch retention samples to Sin Ming or from customer’s office.
• In his/her absence, the duties shall be covered by Senior Field Sampling Technician or his team.
