MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

DCS Operation

• Perform starts up and shuts down according to Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions or Checklists,

Requirements

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

Min 4-6 years experience in heavy machinery (mainly focus on construction machinery) servicing job

Familiar with hydraulic system and machinery electric system, understand the hydraulic system theory, and follow up heavy machinery trouble shooting job

Possess Class 3, 4 License is an advantage

Possess knowledge of diagnosing defects and repair mechanical equipment such as heavy machinery, Crawler Crane, Excavator or Drilling Rig, Reach Stacker etc

With electrical or hydraulic knowledge is a must

Job Summary

As part of the Repair Technology CoE, the Repair Technology Engineer will be responsible for effective identification, industrialization, and support of repair processes in Gas Turbine Repair Service Centers.

In this role, co-located in the Singapore Repair Shop, you will encourage development, startup, implementation of HA Gas Turbine HGP repairs and serve as the Shop’s Repair Technical Expert.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Participate directly on core RTCoE Component Engineer team
• Integrate with regional Services Technology Team
• Provide technical leadership to shop engineering team
• Facilitate implementation and qualification of new repairs
• Lead repair projects that improve safety, quality, productivity, and cycle using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements
• Review and approve shop repair plans and work instructions
• Provide technical assistance for process and quality issue resolution
• Perform special process audits to ensure compliance with GE requirements
• Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments
• Participate on teams for problem solving, standardization, and best practice sharing
• Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews
• Provide technology assistance to regional commercial repair team
• Facilitate review and fulfillment of non-standard customer repair requests

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Materials Engineering, Materials Science, or related engineering field of study from an accredited college or university
• Minimum of 4 years of experience working in, with, and/or supporting a manufacturing, Services, repair, or design environment
• Travel to repair centers, customer sites, and other locations as needed globally (~10%)

1. Perform Supervision & Coordination with subcontractors, to ensure progress works according to drawings, specifications and schedule.

2. Inspecting construction sites regularly to identify and eliminate potential safety hazards. Ensure safety compliance, quality control of materials/equipment on site.

3. Educating site workers on construction safety regulations and accident protocol.

4. Record and ensure proper documentation.

5. Apply appropriate Permit-To-Work to carry out daily work activities and assist conduct daily toolbox meeting.

6. Working hours subject to site progress schedule (If requirement)

7. Working knowledge of construction tools and equipment.

8. Minimum 3-7 years of relevant experience in civil Engineering or relevant/equivalent field

Technician

To perform day to day works in the workshop, servicing & setting up equipment and system at any worksites. Understanding of the working of engines and alternators and electrical control system would be an advantage.

Role & Responsibilities

• Able to operate at least one of the company equipment which includes generators, load banks, transformers, industrial air conditioners & chillers.
• Respond to any emergency breakdown calls
• Attend and travel for overseas assignments as and when required.
• Set up the power system for company projects, both in Singapore and overseas.

Requirement

• Technical Certificate in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Candidate with not less than 2 years of relevant work experience may apply as well.
• Good understanding and experience on the electrical and mechanical systems
• Available to trouble shoot electrical system.
• Ability to read electrical single-line drawings and provide an overall understanding of the power system involved will be an advantage.
• Experience in LV and MV work
• Must have class 3 driving license

Job Requirements:

• Carry-out a steady and efficient production to delivery product in time and quality.
• Responsible to monitor and control process units as per SOP
• Responsible to collect data, identify process deviations and corrective actions
• Carry-out the fine tuning of the whole plant to achieve quality and efficient operation.
• Responsible in all process improvements task and projects.
• Responsible to collect samples and perform analysis in Lab.
• Responsible to prepare equipment’s for maintenance activity and perform first level maintenance.
• Responsible for safe start up and shut down of process units.
• Point out to the hierarchy of all dysfunctions of the plant.
• Take part in all company trainings to develop his potential and capabilities in all safety, quality and process topics.
• Part of the Emergency Response Team Member in the Company to react in all sort of emergency and execute function as a first aider.

Job Requirements:

• NITEC / Higher NITEC / Diploma in Chemical Engineering with work experience in the process industry
• Experience in continuous process industry (chemical, pharmaceutical, food)
• Experience in handling DCS system (Yokogawa/Delta V)
