Job Description:
1. Strategic Leadership and Innovation:
- Develop fintech strategies alike
- Craft and implement business strategies to expand the company’s fintech offerings, focusing on market trends like digital payments, blockchain or financial automation.
Drive innovation:
- Lead efforts in developing and launching new financial technology products or services that meet customer needs and improve user experience.
Market Positioning:
- Analyze similar fintech market trends, competitors and customer behaviours to ensure the company remains competitive and at the forefront of innovation.
2. Operations and Product Management:
- Oversee daily operations
- Manage end-to-end operations for all products, ensuring efficiency in areas like software development, customer service and compliance.
- Product lifecycle management, ensure the development, implementation and continuous improvement of fintech products, such as digital wallets, mobile apps or online banking solutions.
- Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensure that all solutions comply with regulator frameworks such as KYC, AML and data privacy laws. Manage risk in product offerings, especially concerning cybersecurity.
3. Team Leadership:
- Lead, inspire and mentor a high-performing team across various functions such as product, sales, technology and compliance.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Recruit and retain top talent in the fintech sector.
4. Customer Experience
- Develop and maintain strong relationship with customers, partners and stakeholders.
- Ensure the delivery of a seamless and superior customer experience across all touchpoints.
- Leverage customer insights to enhance products and services.
5. Financial Performance
- Set and manage financial targets, including revenue growth, profitability and cost management.
- Monitor key performance metrics and take corrective actions when needed.
- Report to the board of directors on the division’s performance and progress toward goals.
6. Innovation and Product Development
- Lead the product innovation cycle from ideation to market launch.
- Collaborate with the technology team to ensure that products are scalable, secure and user-friendly.
- Drive the adoption of emerging technologies like AI, blockchain and digital payments.
7. Partnerships and Growth
- Establish and manage partnerships with banks, regulators, technology providers and other key stakeholders.
- Develop and implement strategies for customer acquisition, market expansion and brand positioning.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Technology or a related field.
- Proven experience (3-4 years) in a senior management role within the fintech, banking or financial service sectors.
- Strong understanding of financial products, digital payments, blockchain, A1 and data analytics.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing large-scale projects.
- Excellent financial acumen with a track record of driving business growth and profitability.
- Strong regulatory and compliance knowledge related to fintech.
- Exceptional leadership, communication and problem solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high growth environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with fundraising, mergers and acquisitions within the fintech space.
- Knowledge of international markets and regulatory frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with agile methodologies and fintech product development
