Team Structure and Reporting

You will be reporting to the Corporate Accounting Manager. The team handles US GAAP reporting and closing operations across 14 APAC entities and collaborates closely with a counterpart team in Dublin, requiring occasional overlap in working hours.

Day-to-Day

This role focuses on month-end and quarter-end close processes, ensuring compliance with US GAAP. Key duties include managing reconciliations, coordinating with vendors, and resolving issues raised during the close process. Flexibility in working hours is needed to accommodate the Dublin team’s time zone.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle month-end and quarter-end close processes, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and variance analysis.
• Oversee centralized processes that impact multiple APAC or international entities.
• Support the Finance team in designing, testing, and implementing financial reporting tools and processes.
• Lead and manage process improvement projects for scaling operations.
• Review work from outsourced partners to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional business partners within and beyond Finance to meet Corporate Accounting objectives, providing finance management support on ad hoc analysis or special projects.

Minimum Qualifications

• Recognized accounting qualification (CA, CPA, ACCA).
• Proven team player comfortable working with a global team across multiple locations.
• Relevant experience in a large, fast-growing multinational organization.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and APAC local GAAP.
• Proficiency in Excel, along with strong analytical skills.
• Excellent planning, analytical, and communication skills, with a commitment to continuous improvement.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• 8+ years of experience, ideally with APAC region exposure.
• Experience using ERP systems like Oracle or SAP.
• Background in Big Four accounting firms.
• Relevant industry experience is a plus.

My client (a Tech Giant) is seeking an experienced professional to join their APAC Finance team. The ideal candidate will be able to work well with cross functional teams and provide accounting guidance for decision making and managing administrative aspects of client and company projects, tracking and monitoring of project progress with regards to deadlines and client needs, assisting in scheduling and logistical coordination, and communicating frequently with team members and management.

You need to recognize how to strike a balance on getting the details right while still moving fast enough to support the rapid business growth. The candidate is highly collaborative and able to partner well with internal and external partners at all levels. This role reports to an APAC Accounting Manager in Singapore.

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for achieving timely and accurate statutory financial statements compliance for an assigned portfolio of APAC entities
• Build relationships and manage service levels with key external vendors supporting the preparation of financial statements and review the work of our outsourced partners
• Coordinate and manage the audit process with our statutory auditors
• Work closely with the Company's Tax Teams for the filing of Corporate tax and VAT returns
• Prepare and /or review Tax-related balance sheet reconciliations monthly and quarterly for US GAAP close for assigned APAC entities
• Lead projects to optimize and transform the Statutory Compliance process by analyzing areas of opportunities and designing, testing and roll-out of new tools and processes
• Track and coordinate activities, status and planning for the APAC statutory audits by working closely with the INTL Statutory Operations COE team
• Collaborate with XFN partners within and outside Finance to execute Accounting Team Objectives, providing support to finance management where required including ad hoc financial analysis or special projects
• Primary contract administrator within International Statutory Operations team
• Coordinate end to end StatOps vendor contracting and billing processes, triaging and escalating queries or issues as they arise, and tracking through to resolution.
• Coordinate with cross functional partners both internal and external to effectively design and manage execution of contracting project plans on time
• Fully own all tasks related to execution of contracts and issuance of purchase orders, including maintenance of status tracker, risk assessment and reporting
• Build rapport with the teams and be vendor facing primary POC
• Contribute to ongoing process improvement for the benefit of the team
• Assists in preparing progress and planning documentation when necessary
• Attends all client and staff meetings pertaining to project

Skills:

• Proven experience in delivering a project on time, especially to tight deadlines
• Excellent planning, organizational and interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
• Strong computer and analytical skills, including proficiency in G-Drive and MS Excel

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
• Recognized accounting qualification (CA, ACCA)
• 8+ years relevant experience with a fast-growing, multinational company or professional services (i.e. Big Four)
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP
• Able to operate with a high degree of autonomy
• Experience implementing and improving business processes and systems
• Highly collaborative, excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment while being comfortable with navigating change
