You should have the potential or ability to lead a group of technical support engineers handling technical problems.

Your job scope involves providing end customers and partners with in-depth technical assistance in the use of ANTlabs products and solutions, cooperate with the sales and professional services teams to ensure ongoing customer success and satisfaction, and participate in the creation and maintenance of support documentations.

• Be comfortable in handling critical customers solution projects

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Project Support.

- Responsible as Principal Engineer for assigned solution projects

- Understanding of scope environment of existing project support & manage customers

- Troubleshoot and recover customer services within SLA (onsite/remote)

- RequireD traveling to customer sites when needed

- Provide necessary technical training for new staff, L1 or customer (when needed)

- Take over upcoming new projects from Solution Team, understand technical solutions and provide support

• Product Support.

- Perform technical escalation point for Service Desk (L1)

- Able to perform troubleshooting and identify the abnormality (Cloud platform and gateway products)

- Troubleshoot and recover customer services within SLA

- Analyse customer report issues, timely escalate issues to Technology Team and work for solution(s)

• Prepare and accurately execute (remote/onsite) MOP (Method of Procedure) and verify services
• Timely share available new updates for relevant solutions to customers and schedule patch update
• Maintain solution projects detailed database and update accordingly
• Maintain OPS, NMS and perform basic operations
• Perform weekly rotational on-call standby duties

SKILLSETS

• Working knowledge and understanding of basic protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, DHCP, RADIUS, SMTP, SNMP)
• Good hands-on working experience in -

- Database (MySQL, MariaDB)

- Clustering/HA (Pacemaker, Heartbeat, DRBD)

- Web services - Apache/Nginx

• Troubleshooting skills to analyse and isolate technical issues
• Technical explanation and incident management skills
• Experience in technical support operation for external customers solution projects and ensure customer service within SLA
• Experience in server-grade hardware maintenance
• Experience in deploying and maintaining Cloud-based solutions (preferred experience in AWS)
• Experience in virtualization platform (KVM, VMware, Kubernetes, Docker)
• Experience in automation (Ansible)
• Experience in bash scripting
• Some knowledge of PHP and Perl scripting
• Some knowledge of using Wireshark would be beneficial
• Good understanding on basic networking, Wireless technology and authentication (EAPSIM, EAP-PEAP,802.1x)
• Experience in ELK, Speedtest application

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide technical deployments in all running projects & new projects as a team member of Service Delivery Division
• Understand how to gather more technical requirements/information and recommend a solution
• Must be able to do Linux system installation, end-to-end/pilot testing at staging/production environments, ANTlabs solution verification and fault escalation
• Perform troubleshooting and patch fixes at a hardware and software level
• Able to diagnose, isolate, troubleshoot, and fix technical issues under pressure
• Show responsibility on all assigned tasks even need to work after office hours (at situations) in achieving tasks or timely project completion
• Demonstrated ability to execute and perform timely follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction & instil quality in every aspect of job function
• Any other matters as instructed by Supervisor (or) Project Managers when required due to job nature
• Overseas travel may be required for onsite implementation (duration - depends on project/customer/onsite requirement).

TECHNICAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

• Experience in installing, managing, and troubleshooting Linux Operating systems such as RHEL, CentOS or Ubuntu
• Experience and knowledge of open source applications/tools such as HA clustering, HA Proxy, BIND DNS, Apache, Nginx, LDAP, SMTP, NTP, NFS, SNMP, PRTG, etc.
• Experience and knowledge of Virtualization technologies (KVM, Microsoft Hyper-V and VMware)
• Experience and knowledge of Cloud Services like AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.
• Database knowledge such as MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, etc.
• Basic understanding of cloud / enterprise networking and security best practices
• Knowledge of OS/Application security hardening
• Experience in Linux shell/Bash script
• Experience and knowledge of networking such as switching, routing, firewall, VLAN, TCP/IP
• Knowledge of containerization and related tools (Docker, docker swarm, Kubernetes) will be preferred
• Having Dell Power Edge installation and troubleshooting experience will be advantageous

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 3-5 years of technical work experience in IT/Telecom industry with following technical skills/experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in: Engineering (Computer / Telecommunications), Computer Science / Information Technology or its equivalent
• Fast learner with a positive attitude and ability to handle multiple concurrent projects independently without much supervision
• Able to perform duties inside a data centre environment, as well as outside of office hours and/or night activities as required by the projects
• Proven experience in creating and maintaining project documentation, including but not limited to High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documents, deployment reports, technical specifications, and user manuals
