THIS IS A 2-YEARS RENEWABLE / CONVERTIBLE CONTRACT ROLE.
Defence Collective Singapore (DCS) manages the Singapore Discovery Centre (SDC), the SAF museums and the future National Service (NS)-Themed Gallery to meet MINDEF/SAF’s objectives to strengthen commitment to Singapore and community support for NS / defence.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the effective operational management of SDC to enhance visitor experience and visitorship.
- Develop SDC’s strategic long-term plans and multi-year budget requirements to achieve SDC’s objectives in discussion with DCS HQ.
- Manage SDC’s operations to ensure a high standard of visitor experience and effective management of SDC’s facilities and assets.
- Management and oversight of projects in SDC.
- Co-develop SDC’s branding and marketing strategies and materials with DCS HQ.
- Enhance and customise public programmes to better cater to SDC’s needs and improve public engagement.
- Management of SDC’s Volunteers and social media.
- Oversee, manage and grow SDC members.
- Ensure that all procurement policies are adhered to and all financial documents are in order before submission to DCS HQ for endorsement.
- Lead talent management and development to ensure SDC’s current and future capability and people requirements are met.
- Establish and maintain effective relations with relevant counterparts in the local and overseas attractions, museums and defence community.
Requirements:
- Bachelor / Professional Degree (Business / Finance degree preferred).
- Min 15 years working experience with 10 years in managerial role.
- Candidate must possess strong people management skills and preference will be given to those with working experience in attractions/ museum/ gallery related organisations.
- Good knowledge of operations management, events management, marketing, public engagement, building and facilities management.
- Strong communication, influencing and negotiation skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and agility.
