Summary:
As General Manager, you lead your management team who represent Engineering, Production, Support, Project Management and Business Control departments. In total you oversee around 35 people of which the majority are located in the Singapore organisation. You work closely together with the Global Asset Manager, Product Manager eROV, Blue Robotics Team and report into the Global Director MAI.
To meet your objectives, you closely work with the local shared service teams and your internal and external clients. Internal clients are the MAI business and service line managers and external clients are mainly in the Chinese Joint Venture, for who you act as MAI Account Manager.

Successful running of the business
- Achieve positive P&L contribution
- Delivery of MAI technology according to time, budget and quality.
- Bringing innovations from conceptual stage to production ready products.
- Perform full commercial process from lead generation to project award of new ROV projects.
- Team leadership and creating an environment for personal growth of subordinates.
- Collaboration with our internal clients
- You are accountable for the continual Improvement and initiative for all technology you produce as well as the stakeholder engagement to identify best practice of our fleet.
Transforming the business
- Lead change to meet long term business strategy
- Develop your teams in line with changing business objectives
- Develop new business strategies
- Support innovation and methodology of how we move from PoC to a seamless production line driving lean principles.
- You are accountable from moving the workshop to a production line which will be our ROV centre of Excellence Globally
Stakeholder Management
- Managing expectations of internal clients
- Working with external stakeholders and manage relationships as well as commercially viable agreements.
- Work closely with Chinese Joint Venture to maintain strong business relationships.
- Marketing and communication to stakeholders to keep them informed about latest product developments.
QHSSE
- Meet Quality objectives for the organisation
- Meet Safety objectives for the organisation
- Ensure successful rollout of QHSSE initiatives
Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree (Science of Engineering)
Working experience: 5 - 8 years (relevant industry or Manufacturing/Product Development)
Management experience: 3 - 8 years (showcase strong leadership)
Others:
- Previous experience in the offshore industry, preferably with strong
- knowledge of ROV Systems and offshore operations
- Culturally aware
- Willingness to travel
- Willingness to work outside of office hours.
- Commercial and Business Development mindset
