ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
NX Global Engineering PTE. LTD. provides our customers with a full scale of construction, maintenance, and transportation services worldwide. We specialize in project management, quality control, and, most importantly, safety management.
We are seeking a highly skilled Deputy General Manager with expertise in the heavy haulage, construction, and maintenance sectors. The ideal candidate will manage company operations and general affairs, and collaborate closely with the Managing Director to drive the company’s strategic direction from our Japan headquarters. This role requires engineering expertise and a commitment to delivering safer, high-quality services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee project schedules planning considering priority, importance, deadlines, and required man-hours, and execute multiple projects simultaneously with colleagues from the Nippon Express group.
- Supervise daily operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness across all business activities.
- Oversee administrative functions, ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory compliance.
- Drive the company’s direction from Japan HQ, ensuring alignment with global objectives.
- Manage and maintain relationships with clients, including Japanese clients, ensuring their needs are met with the highest standards.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality services to customers, with a strong emphasis on safety and reliability.
- Manage project initiatives, including decision-making, quality control, and safety management.
- Promote growth and innovation within the company, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education
Technical Skills and Prior Experience
- At least 15 years of supervisory experience in heavy haulage, construction, and maintenance in process plants.
- Strong knowledge and experience in heavy lifting, transportation, and mechanical work.
- Proficiency in Japanese (JLPT N2 Level) in speaking, listening, and writing is essential, as the role often requires interaction with Japanese counterparts.
- IT proficient and must have strong experience with Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Proficient in project management with relevant experience and skills.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced setting.

- Having experience for working in Japanese companies and understand the Japanese company culture and way of business are preferred.
