Job Description – General Manager
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead our growing sports company in Singapore. This role requires a unique blend of business acumen, tennis and padel coaching expertise (particularly with young children), and strong leadership skills. Job Duties and Responsibilities
Coaching & Program Delivery:
- Provide tennis and padel coaching sessions for young children and players of all skill levels.
- Conduct coaching assessments and performance evaluations to ensure high coaching standards.
- Design and implement tailored coaching programs that focus on both skill development and enjoyment, ranging from beginner sessions to high performance training.
- Network and engage with clients to attract more leads and build long-term relationships.
- Maintain and care for coaching equipment, ensuring it is organized and in good condition.
- Arrive at coaching venues at least 15 minutes before the start of each lesson to prepare.
Business Development:
- Identify new business opportunities to drive revenue growth and expand the company's reach.
- Build and maintain partnerships with schools, clubs, and community organizations.
- Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies to attract new clients and retain existing ones.
- Oversee the development and execution of marketing campaigns across social media, email, and direct outreach channels.
- Monitor sales performance and adjust strategies to meet revenue targets.
Team Leadership & Mentorship:
- Hire, train, and mentor coaching staff, ensuring alignment with company values and quality standards.
- Manage scheduling, performance reviews, and compensation for team members.
- Foster a positive and productive team culture.
Operational Oversight:
- Oversee day-to-day operations across multiple venues.
- Ensure quality control measures are implemented consistently.
- Maintain accurate records of customer registrations, attendance, and payments.
Candidate Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum 5 years of experience in tennis and/or padel coaching, including experience (minimum 3 years) coaching young children.
- Proven experience in business development and revenue generation.
- Strong team management and mentorship skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience in creating and executing marketing strategies.
- Ability to work across multiple locations and handle flexible hours, including weekends.
- Internationally recognized tennis or padel coaching certification is a plus.
