About Internationalisation at SFC
The Internationalisation Department at the Singapore Fashion Council (SFC) plays a pivotal role in expanding the global footprint of Singapore's fashion industry. By providing strategic support and resources, the department facilitates international market entry and growth for local fashion brands. Its initiatives include organizing overseas trade missions, establishing international partnerships, and offering education on market trends and regulations. Through these efforts, the department aims to enhance the global competitiveness of Singapore's fashion industry and promote the country's designers on the world stage.
About this Role:
You will work closely with a core team to roll out strategic programmes such as trade and business missions, international brand entry into markets, and training programmes. These roles involve a combination of research, coordination, communication, organisational and administrative tasks, and is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and driven professional. In the longer term, this project will enable Singapore to become a vibrant hub for the regional fashion industry.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
Working with team to:
- Develop and implement internationalisation programmes and initiatives
- Ensure budgets meet determined profitability and impact
- Foster a strong pipeline of businesses ready to internationalise
- Ensure that programmes are driven and rolled out according to established timelines and milestones
A cross functional and dynamic job scope that will require the candidate to:
- Liaise with international and local stakeholders
- Coordinate with marketing and membership teams to promote programmes
Requirements:
- At least 1-3 years of relevant working experience
- Experience or interest in fashion or business development
- Strong communication and cultural sensitivity skills for international liaison
- Strong organisational, analytic and project management skills
- Strong numeracy and excel skills
- Team player with initiative, meticulousness, and excellent interpersonal skills
- Visual and design skills a bonus
