NCCS Research Admin Department is looking for a dedicated Lab Assistant who can help manage our Glassware Autoclave Room.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Autoclaving and Washing

• Collect glassware and materials to be washed and autoclaved from laboratories.
• Perform glassware washing and autoclave sterilization of glassware and liquids as needed.
• Inspect glassware for cleanliness and proper sanitation.
  Report any malfunctioning equipment to the supervisor for immediate attention.
• Comply with laboratory safety practices, policies, and procedures.

2. Quality Inspection

• Conduct quality control assessments on sterilizers and document the records.
• Responsible for the maintenance of general laboratory equipment.

3. Inventory Management

• Support researchers by supplying extra glassware as requested and maintaining a log of their needs for delivery to respective labs.
• Monitor and manage the inventory of glassware, ensuring an adequate supply is available for daily operations. Collaborate with team members to identify and prioritize glassware needs.

4. Ad-hoc Duties

• Perform other duties as requested by supervisor.

Requirements:

• GCE ‘N’ Level Certificate
• Prior working experience in lab setting is preferred, but not required. On-site training will be provided.
• Knowledge of sterile techniques and autoclaves is an advantage.
• Basic skill level using Microsoft Office Suite
• Good communication and inter-personal skills.
• Well-organized and able to comfortably work in a fast-paced environment.
• Physically fit to lift loads (of about 6kg).
