Qualifications

• Accredited professional degree in Architecture or related field
• Architectural registration preferred

RESPONSIBILITIES

Senior Designer
The Senior Designer is responsible for leading the production or marketing assets across various channels, including display ads, social media ads, out-of-home ads, website graphics, and more. This role requires a hands-on approach to design, as well as the ability to leverage AI and automation tools such as Midjourney, Copy.ai and Canva to enhance and expedite the creative process. Additionally, the Senior Designer will play a key role in the future expansion of the team's capabilities into photography, videography and content creation for key overseas markets in local languages such as Simplified Chinese.

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Multi-media, Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in graphic design, with a strong portfolio showcasing expertise in digital marketing design.
• Proven track record in creating high impact digital assets for various platforms, including websites, social media, email marketing and digital advertising; This includes understanding best practices for responsive design, user experience (UX) design, and user interface (UI) design.
• 3+ years of experience in leading an in-house design team.
• Strong understanding of typography, colour theory and layout principles.

As a Senior UI/UX Designer, your responsibilities will include:

· Collaborating closely with stakeholders, project managers, and their teams to thoroughly identify, analyze, and review design needs and requirements. You will lead the estimation of UI/UX scope and schedule, ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives.

· Taking ownership of the entire UI/UX development lifecycle, from conceptualization to implementation and maintenance. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining high-quality UI/UX deliverables, both from scratch and through repeated improvements.

· Leveraging your research and design methodologies expertise to inform and guide the UI/UX process. Your deep understanding of user needs and behaviours will drive the creation of intuitive, user-centered designs that meet business objectives.

· Playing an active role in Agile ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Stand-Up Meetings, and Sprint Retrospectives. Your vocal and articulate communication style will facilitate effective collaboration within cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment and transparency throughout the project lifecycle.

· Championing the company's UI/UX standards and best practices, leading by example in adherence to design principles, guidelines, and processes.

As a senior team member, you will mentor and guide junior designers, fostering their growth and development within the organization. Your leadership, expertise, and commitment to excellence will be instrumental in driving the success of our UI/UX initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the design management of the assigned project, such as to assist the Project Director and Project Manager to formulate project schedule and budget plan; as well as to ensure the project is implemented as approved and scheduled;
• Responsible for the resource management of the assigned projects, such as to assist the Project Director and Project Manager in organizing design team to promote and complete the assigned tasks;
• Responsible for the quality management of the assigned projects, such as to assist the Project Director and Project Manager to create and communicate clear and attainable project objectives and project requirements, to manage the quality of project deliverables and final results;
• Responsible for the production management of the assigned projects, such as to produce drawings, presentation materials, design reports, and other relevant documents which are required as day-to-day design process and deliverables as per contracts of the assigned projects;

Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree or above in Architecture or related majors
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience with large scale design consultancies and/or client side representative;
• Licensed Architect registered by either the Singapore authority or overseas registered is a plus;
• Experienced in conceptual design, schematic design, design development and construction documentation phases for rail projects
• Experienced in construction administration (on-site service) is a plus;
• Familiar with government approval procedures and associated submission requirements is a plus;
• Experienced in design competition and familiar with related bidding procedures and requirements;
• Proficient in design software such as, Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino, Grasshopper, Sketchup, PKPM, Photoshop, InDesign, etc. and management software such as Microsoft Office and Project, Bluebeam, Acrobat, etc.;
• Excellent communication skills in English, and the ability to work well with a team local and abroad;
• Highly organized and responsive.

Description:

• Select equipment that meets the customer’s requirements with comparable or superior quality and at lower costs compared to competitors
• Develop effective system(s) that align(s) with the customer’s business requirements
• Advise sales personnel on structuring product descriptions, technical specifications, and operational requirements in proposal or bid documents
• Provide guidance to the Project Lead on the ergonomic placement of equipment
• Create detailed and accurate designs, including clear and correct labeling of equipment, wiring, and diagrams
• Ensure all equipment is documented in schematic drawings and Bill of Materials (BOM) for order management
• Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing Department to review designs and promptly update them to meet any latest changes in operational requirements
• Advise Project Managers on equipment placement and integration with other parties
• Approve schematic drawings for procurement and construction
• Conduct site inspections during onsite and offsite implementation
• Review schematic drawings to ensure effective implementation of the design
• Inspect systems to ensure they address user functional requirements
• Inspect equipment (for each vertical solution) to ensure proper configuration for optimized performance
• Identify variations in operational requirements and delivery quality, and provide a punch list for the Project Lead to address.
