Job Summary:
As an Infant Educator, you will play a crucial role in providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for infants aged 2 months to 18 months. Your primary responsibility will be to support the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of infants under your care. You will work closely with parents and caregivers to ensure the well-being and developmental progress of each child.
Key Responsibilities:
- Child Care and Supervision:Provide attentive and compassionate care to infants, including feeding, diapering, and ensuring a consistent daily routine.
Maintain a safe and clean environment, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
Supervise infants during playtime and rest periods, ensuring their comfort and security.
- Curriculum and Developmental Activities:Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities that stimulate sensory, cognitive, and physical development.
Foster language and communication skills through age-appropriate interactions and activities.
Promote motor skill development through tummy time, crawling, and other age-appropriate exercises.
Create a supportive and inclusive environment that encourages exploration and curiosity.
- Parent and Caregiver Communication:Maintain open and regular communication with parents and caregivers, providing updates on their child's progress, daily routines, and special achievements.
Collaborate with families to ensure a consistent and supportive approach to infant care and development.
- Documentation and Record Keeping:Maintain accurate records of each child's daily activities, milestones, and any concerns or observations.
Complete developmental assessments and progress reports as required.
- Health and Safety:Ensure the highest standards of health and safety in the infant care area, including proper sanitation and hygiene practices.
Follow emergency procedures and protocols, including first aid and CPR if necessary.

Certificate in Early Childhood Care & Education (CECCE)
ITE Higher Certificate in Early Childhood Education
