Job Description/Key Responsibilities
1. Responsible for design, building and commissioning of laboratory space and the chemical processing systems, associated equipment, and components where applicable. Develop procedures for testing, including validation protocols for the same. Work with vendors/regulatory bodies/partners where applicable. The person will be in-charge of both the laboratory and the pilot process upon commissioning.
2. Lead the operation of the system in Batch, Feb-Batch and Continuous mode for producing the products. Lead the separation/purification of the product and reproduction of the catalyst.
3. Collaborate with staff from other organisations (chemical engineers, chemists, or others) where necessary and act as project manager for the procurement of equipment/consumables externally.
4. Participate in relevant safety studies. Ensure compliance to OHSMS/relevant regulations and follow industrial best practices.
5. Analyse and summarise experimental data, communicate and present results orally and prepare regular summaries and progress report to management and partners.
6. Any other work as assigned by the line manager.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or Chemists with relevant process knowledge. 2+ years of experience.
· Should have work experience in chemistry lab environment.
· Good communication skills and able to work in a multi-disciplinary team.
· Highly motivated and can work independently.
· Willing to work in Tuas South.
