ECO cum WSH Coordinator

Job Description

i) To work with the PM to comply with environmental, health & safety (EHS) laws laws, advise PM on environmental remediation measures, carry out site inspections and to engage workers and stakeholders on maintaining good environmental health standards

ii) Work with the PM to draw up, implement and monitor effective environmental management plans, including reviewing them when necessary:

· Prepare & submit to the PM the Site Environmental Control Programme before work commences at the worksite.

· Prepare & submit to the PM the Site Environmental Control Report once every two weeks.

iii) Inspect the construction site to ensure all facilities, equipment and operations do not pose any environmental health hazard;

iv) Inspect the on-site canteen, worker’s quarters, if any, and dining areas to ensure that good hygiene practices are being observed, and the areas are well maintained with good housekeeping.

v) Identify and discuss environmental health irregularities or potential lapses with the PM, and recommend corresponding measures to prevent or rectify such concerns;

vi) Attend to all feedback on any irregularities and inform the PM accordingly;

vii) Assist the authorities to investigate outbreaks of infectious, vector-borne or food-borne diseases at the construction site; and

viii) Organise campaigns, training courses and other activities, where required, to develop and sustain the interest of workers in maintaining good environmental health standards.

ix) Conduct inspection of the ECM at the worksite in accordance to ECM plan

• Ensure the quality and detailing of architectural works meet project standards, regulatory requirements, and maintainability criteria.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or a related field; a BOA-recognized degree is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in architectural project management, with a preference for candidates with MOHH project experience and at least one completed project cycle.
• Possess Green Mark Accredited Professional (GMAP) certification is a plus.
• Strong proficiency in interpreting and producing construction drawings with attention to detail.
• Possess knowledge of BIM/VDC tools and methodologies.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality work within tight deadlines.

Job Description & Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• To have overall responsibility for monitoring and organising the construction and demolition activities associated with the Project.
• To ensure that a comprehensive Construction and Demolition Plan is prepared an updated, which co-ordinates all Project construction and demolition activities.
• To provide the management resource, as appropriate, throughout the construction and demolition phases to ensure co-ordination of activities and achievement of agreed milestones.
• To ensure that construction and demolition issues are addressed through all phases of the project life cycle.
• To ensure that all activities within this responsibility are undertaken on time to allow the smooth progression throughout the Project from Execution to Handover.
• To ensure that the project delivers all statutory and regulatory requirements in the construction arena and complies with all relevant standards.
• To influence the design, to ensure that the new or modified plant and/or building is capable of being constructed and maintained in a safe manner.
• To liaise with the relevant project, corporate and site engineering and technical functions on all construction and demolition aspects of the project.
• To have a major input in the selection of contract companies.
• To ensure a safe system of work is in place prior to construction and demolition activities taking place.
• To ensure construction management resources are adequate.
• To ensure that a construction and demolition strategy is prepared and kept updated, ensuring all involved Team members and contractors, where appropriate, are aware, agree and understand their responsibilities to minimise the impact on the Site during construction and demolition activities.
• To advise and assist the Project Manager in the approval of construction and demolition invoices.
• Set up and chair regular meetings to ensure construction and demolition progress and safety are managed to meet the requirements of the project.
• To regularly report to the Project Manager and other Team members on all Contractors’ performance, including progress to schedule, safety and standard of workmanship and advise on time of any potential issues.

11. Attendance of meeting and or site survey with clients.

12. Submission of quotations / costing to clients within stimulated time frame.

13. Maintenance of good public relationship with vendors / clients.
