MAIN JOB DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

· Handle financial reporting and accounting for Howden Specialty Limited and Howden Group’s small entities, including, but not limited to:

o Checking and verification on all invoices for relevant supporting information

o Prepare journal entries to ensure data accuracy, consistency and completeness at month-end close

o Ensure data is transferred from Global onto system at month-end

o Prepare bank reconciliations at month-end

o Ensure timely and accurate month-end close (close by Day 3)

o Preparation of management accounts

o Arrange sufficient funding in own funds’ bank accounts to meet all payment obligations

o Management of petty cash

· Coordinate with the Accountant on daily workload

· Ensure compliance to all regulatory and governmental bodies at all times

· Be a gatekeeper – inform the Finance Manager / Head of Department for potential / upcoming issues, propose improvements where necessary and appropriate.

· Handle year-end audit including, but not limited to the preparation of schedules, reply to auditors’ queries, inter-company transactions reconciliations, carrying out analytical reviews etc.

· Assist in the company’s annual budgeting exercise

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIREMENTS

· Minimum 3 years accounting experience

· Holder of University degree in Accounting

· Strong MS Office knowledge; Basic understanding and knowledge of regulatory compliances

· Good command of written and spoken English and Mandarin, preferably intermediate level of Cantonese

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills with good customer-service attitude

· Self-motivated, attentive to details and able to work under pressure

· A good team player; able to work independently with minimum supervision under tight deadlines

The Role

Perform accounting tasks related to the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions. Produce monthly reports and assist in month end closing.

Responsibilities

AP accounting tasks including but are not limited to:

• Process accounts payable invoice matching and verification with purchase orders, delivery Order/goods receipts.
• Ensure accounts payable invoice and expenses claims are accurate, properly coded and approved by relevant cost center Manager.
• Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries, perform Supplier Statement reconciliation.
• Ensure completeness of balance sheet schedule preparation via blackline on every closing, include reconciliation of GRIR & PAC clearing accounts. To provide analysis and status update of each aged transaction were addressed.
• Research and resolve invoice/GRIR discrepancies issues with different business owner.
• Prepare journal voucher for accrual, ensure expenses were captured timely on every close.
• Liaised with internal and external auditors, prepare audit schedules and ensure compliance to SOX and statutory requirements.
• To stay alert and vigilant, detect any unusual request/highlight potential cybercrimes immediately to safeguard company from any loss.

Your Profile

• Degree/Diploma in Accounting /Finance or ACCA equivalent
• Preferably minimum 2 to 5 years of experience in Accounts Payables functions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially in MS Word and Excel, and in ERP systems (i.e. SAP)
• Excellent communication skills with an ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external business customers and suppliers.
