CSO Finance is a truly global finance team highly engaged in developing its talents and having them evolve in a moving environment. CSO Finance spans all finance functions; we span working with Marketing to drive our product categories, with Supply and Ops to ensure we have the right product in the right places, with Sales to understand our Partner Account mechanics and Channel Strategy, manage the organization’s Rhythm of Business (RoB) and are custodians of the Profit & Loss (P&L). The Asia Gaming FP&A Controller role is an excellent opportunity to be at the heart of a dynamic business at a critical point of evolution. You will play an instrumental role in orchestrating financial processes and business insights, identifying and critically assessing investment opportunities optimizing between margin & share to drive profitable sustainable growth engines and shape the landing of our Worldwide strategy. You will work with diverse teams in matrix organizations influencing Regional, Worldwide CSO and Engineering Groups (EG) teams.

Responsibilities

Prioritize

• Drive the overall finance performance and forecast accuracy for Asia Gaming working with the Category, Channel Marketing and Sales teams to understand the drivers and the levers available to influence - proactively flagging upsides, risks, actions needed and managing the overall investments and Gross Margin.
• Delivers results through tracking performance, report accuracy, and partnering with business leaders to ensure execution of plans and accountability for results. Manages the rhythm of the business for area of responsibility including monthly close, recurring business review preparation and budgeting.
• Drive key financial process (P&L, outlook, forecast, budget) in conjunction with the territory teams - be the voice of business partners, champion simplicity, drive consistency, focus & prioritization on what matters, provide objective risk / upside assessment - ensure all of this is delivered within the existing standard CSO finance processes.

Partnership

• Partner with Worldwide/Asia Gaming to drive cross-group alignment for Investment strategy and priorities delivering clarity on priorities and investments.
• Partner with Sales and channel marketing to understand cost to serve by priority and partner investments for GM optimization.
• Share business insights and advance solutions and action plans to drive business goals and short-term accountabilities. Provides credible insights into industry benchmarks and consumer trends to drive growth. Implements creative ways to show patterns and draw conclusions to help drive decisions and clearly communicate findings. Articulates understanding and awareness of business partner situation.
• Works directly with business partners to translate top-down targets to an accountable budget for each group. Completes and reviews analysis, modeling, and research to support preliminary and adjusted forecast cycles. Partners and solicits insight from business and commercial stakeholders.
• Facilitates resolve complex issues. Manages and executes processes through engagement with internal and external stakeholders.

Protect

• Drives the right tone from executive leadership and ensures strict adherence and understanding of Microsoft policies on risk and compliance. Influences leadership to ensure compliance is a top priority and modeled throughout the organization.
• Drives a compliant culture through actions and decisions to instil trust. Advocates, educates, and promotes best practices and new developments.  Encourages asking questions and identifying risks to compliance.
• Champions Microsoft privacy, security, and ethical standards. Advances key compliance initiatives.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 6+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance. OR Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance. OR equivalent experience.
• Possess solid understanding and exposure in supporting multi-countries segments within Asia region.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in multinationals with multi-product/multi-segment finance roles, ideally within the technology or software industry.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with proven ability to partner, build trust and present to key stakeholders including Executive Management.
• Demonstrated experience in problem solving and driving transformation/improvements with ability to manage multiple and competing tasks/priorities to closure.
• Ability to analyze, interpret and explain business results whilst leveraging a data-driven approach.

Description:

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting and finance department.
• Review month end and year end accounting closing activities under the supervision of Finance Head.
• Ensure compliance in local tax corporate income tax and government service tax computation with local tax advisory for tax filing in Singapore.
