Job Responsibilities:

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Preschool Educator effectively creates a secure and quality learning environment for the children through nurturing trusting and respectful relationships with them. He/She enriches children’s learning by co-designing and implementing a developmentally and culturally appropriate curricula, while effectively integrating innovative teaching and learning practices. He/She is proactive and intentional in strengthening partnerships with families and the community, and co-designs collaborative efforts with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve this goal.

As an experienced Early Childhood Educator, He/She guides the junior educators in enhancing their professional practice. He/She provides suggestions and ideas to improve professional development in the Childcare Centre, while also contributing to the Centre’s culture of collaboration and collegiality.

REQUIREMENTS

Professional Early Childhood Qualification: LON L2 certified by ECDA

Roles and Responsibility

• Delivery and presentation of lesson content to children
• Supervision primary school children (primary 1 to 6) to ensure completion of daily homework
• Ensure safety and timely transfer of students from school to student centre
• Ensure safety of children
• Regular liaison with parents and caregivers regarding children’s progress and behaviour

Requirements:

• Minimum diploma and above / WSQ Student-Care Certified
• Possess excellent work ethics and integrity
• Exhibit a positive attitude when faced with challenges
• Are creative thinkers and problem-solvers
• Love children and the learning process
• Have experience in teaching children, preferably at primary level
• Able to communicate effectively in both English and Mandarin
• Possess a passion for nurturing children
• Experience in working with children preferred. Those without experience may also apply as training will be provided.
