Responsibilities:

As a Counsellor (Family Life Educator), you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Be part of a team to execute Ministry of Social and Family Development's (MSF) programmes and services such as evidence-based / informed Marriage and Parenting programes such as Triple P, Level 2, 3 and 4, Signposts, Purposeful Play, Topical Talks, e-PREP etc.
• Work closely with Head of department to ensure quality service delivery to meet MSF's target key performance indicators.
• Conduct family life education workshops and sessions for individuals and families.
• Provide counseling and support to individuals and families facing various life challenge.
• Develop and implement educational materials and resources related to family life and relationships.
• Collaborate with social work professionals and allied organizations to support clients.
• Advocate for the importance of family life education and its impact on communities.
• Stay updated on current trends and research in family life education and counseling.

Requirements:

• Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Sociology or related disciplines.
• At least 4 -5 years of social services experiences with be preferred.
• MSF certified with experience in Family Life Education with school related exposure would be added advantage.
• Proficient in FFLC's marriage and parenting programmes according to the prescribed MSF service model.

Job Description

Job Requirements

• At least 2 years relevant professional teaching experience in early childhood
• The candidate should hold a minimum of a Diploma in Early Childhood or Education or equivalent, which is obtained from a recognised institution
• Knowledge of or willingness to acquire knowledge of inquiry-based learning is required;
• Certified by ECDA at L2 Level
• Diploma in Montessori Teaching will be an added advantage (Chinese Educator)
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office – Word
• Able to work independently and also a team player
• Attend courses, if required
