Finance Managers Responsibilities:

Finance Manager Requirements:

Responsibilities:

• Handle full sets of Accounts
• Responsible for month-end and year-end closing
• Prepare accounting schedules, reconciliation of accounts, management and cash flow reports
• Ensure timely and accurate submission of GST, annual tax returns and other statutory filings
• Prepare audit schedule and attend to the queries raised by external auditors
• Review tax computations and liaise with tax agents to manage the tax filing process
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, banks, corporate secretary and government authorities for all statutory and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance
• Perform monthly inventory reconciliation & attend yearly stock take activity
• Maintain Fixed Assets Register and ledger

Requirements:

Key Roles & Responsibilities

Perform bookkeeping, data entry, and reconcile accounts payable/receivable and bank statements.

Ensure timely payment processing and seek necessary approvals in adherence to the Delegation of Authority.

Monitor accounts receivable aging and manage credit control.

Maintain and tag fixed asset schedules.

Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing and reporting, including managing external audit and preparation of AFS.

Manage monthly and quarterly forecasting, annual budget planning, and performance analysis.

Monitor and control the company’s budget.

Prepare accurate and timely reporting decks for management, senior leaders, and board meetings.

Utilize the Terra reporting system, perform gap analysis, and ensure compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards and other statutory regulations in management reports.

Prepare feasibility reports on investment projects, including financial forecasts and sensitivity analysis.

Partner with department heads to translate analytical needs into data requirements with clear metrics.

Coordinate and lead year-end stock take, including recounting stock variances.

Prepare and ensure timely tax reporting and compliance (direct, indirect, and transfer pricing).

Continuously review work practices for operational efficiency improvement.

Handle various ad-hoc requirements.

Qualifications, Skills & Knowledge

Degree in Accountancy or Finance.

ACCA or CPA Singapore equivalent.

At least 8 years of relevant work experience.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in audit/tax.

Commercial finance analytical experience in the SME consumer/F&B industry is advantageous.

Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint.

Strong knowledge of Singapore Reporting Standards and other accounting regulations.

Meticulous and analytical with data.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; proactive team player.

Experience with Hyperion (HFM) and Dynamics 365 ERP applications is a plus.

Job Responsibilities

• Accounts: Manage full set of accounts. Post general ledger, fixed assets and monthly closing, accounts receivable and accounts payable entries. Manage business finances, and cost control.
• Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports. Cash flow management: Assist Finance Manager to plan and manage the company cash flow. Prepare cash flow and income statement and budgets for the business plan.
• Audit management: Prepare and check relevant audit schedules, liaise with external auditors and answer specific queries.
• Tax management: Ensure the company meets its obligations and deadlines of GST declaration and other local taxation and liaise with tax agents (if needed).

Work Scope

• Managing full set of accounts for multiple legal entities.
• Ensuring all AP/AR are accurately posted in the system and properly reconciled.
• Preparation of monthly routine journal entries for accrual, prepayment, fixed assets and service jobs.
• Preparing balance sheet schedules to its control accounts including bank reconciliations.
• Assist to prepare monthly financial statements and analysis for management reporting and year end statutory reporting.

• Review and reconcile intercompany transactions on a timely basis.
• Tabulate service staffs’ working hours for salary and job costing.
• Manage costing and revenue recognition, need to have good understanding of accounting for repair and commissioning jobs.
• Tabulate cost reports to reflect actual costs against project estimates.
• Compute and maintain labour recovery rates and report on variances.
• Review the project and service ‘work in progress’, ensuring no long outstanding ‘work in progress’
• Assist to prepare and file GST/VAT and corporate income Tax returns.
• Able to liaise with key internal and external stakeholders including auditors, corporate secretary, contractors.

Requirements
