Team Summary

Global Controllership is responsible for establishing Visa’s global accounting policies, providing technical accounting guidance to the business, processing accounting transactions globally and consolidating all Visa entities financial results. The team is responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of the Visa Inc. financial statements under U.S. GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), and local statutory financial statements under IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards)

What a Sr Financial Analyst does at Visa:

• Manage the overall integration of the Visa entities in AP region
• Perform the accounting close process and ensure high quality accounting accuracy, timely and meaningful reporting, and compliance to US GAAP, SEC and SOX requirements.
• Lead the local statutory accounts preparation, audit to filing process, ensuring compliance, timeliness, efficiency and reconciliation with US GAAP numbers.
• Preparation of monthly accounting journal entries and reconciliations
• Performs quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting with no aged unreconciled accounts
• Provide flux analysis on balance sheet and income statement

Roles & Responsibilities

Job Descriptions:

1. Management reports:

 Prepare monthly trial balance and balance sheet schedules,

 Prepare monthly and quarterly projects’ reports, ie. Payable, Receivable, and cash flow,

 Prepare monthly office cash flow and analyse cash flow balance fluctuation,

 Monitor prepayment schedules and prepare amortisation slips.

2. Review projects payment, receipt and journal slips.

3. Support yearly financial audit, mainly in preparing audit schedules to the external auditors and attending auditors’ queries. Audit schedules, for instance, but not limited to accounts receivable, prepayments, other assets, completed project listing and leases.

4. Assist in a joint venture entity (JV) accounts and GST:

 Prepare GST and file GST returns to IRAS,

 Support JV entity and JV partner’s yearly financial audit, mainly in preparing audit schedules to the external auditors and attending auditors’ queries,

 Placement of time deposit, and

 Renew of business registration with ACRA before expiry date.

5. Support Head Office accounting request as and when.

6. Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Requirement:

• Degree / Diploma in Accountancy, ACCA or equivalent.

• To have basic knowledge on Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and GST.

• Preferable to have at least 3 years similar industry experience.

• Able to start working within short period of time
