Arup is seeking a capable ICT Consultant to join our dynamic team and contribute to the delivery of innovative ICT solutions for our clients worldwide. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with senior consultants and project teams, supporting the design, implementation, and optimization of information and communication technology (ICT) systems across a range of infrastructure projects. As an ICT Consultant, you will play a key role in gathering client requirements, conducting technical assessments, and developing ICT strategies and solutions that meet project objectives and industry standards. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of ICT masterplans, feasibility studies, and design specifications, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to integrate digital technologies seamlessly into infrastructure projects.
The Opportunity
• Support design/technical lead for allocated projects, undertake the production of designs for projects and proposals, ensuring the proposed design conforms to approved standards, specifications, and safety requirements.
• Design ICT physical infrastructure to support active and passive systems such as structured cabling systems, extra-low voltage building control and communications systems.
• Undertake the specification, design and delivery of Structured Cabling Systems and their supporting infrastructure in compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
• Produce and check work package documentation for projects.
• Develop the performance specification for ICT works using AutoCAD and/or BIM, including detailed calculations, technical specifications, drawings etc. for calling the construction tender.

Is this role right for you?
• Recognised relevant tertiary qualifications in Electrical & Electronic Engineering or similar area.
• Master’s degree in engineering Preferred but not essential.
• Relevant industry experience in ICT/ELV within a consulting business environment.
• 5+ years of relevant experience and understanding of building services infrastructure and the design of resilient ICT systems, including ICT equipment rooms, pathways, containment system and risers for data centre, operations centre; structured cabling system design for in-building and outside plant; and MEP facilities for ICT e.g., power, cooling, etc
• Membership of relevant professional institutions/professional peer bodies or significant credit towards eligibility for membership.
