Department of Geography: Assistant Manager / Manager (Geographic Information Systems)

The Department of Geography at the National University of Singapore (NUS) is inviting applications for an Assistant Manager / Manager in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to provide support to the GIS Unit and its GIS educational programmes.

The GIS Unit spearheads the research, training and applications of GIS in the Department and aims to extend beyond the academic realm to foster an Asia-focused GIS ecosystem with global reach. The Department is the leading centre in Singapore for GIS research and teaching, hosting comprehensive geospatial and other laboratory facilities. It currently runs four GIS educational programmes at undergraduate and graduate levels based upon a diverse range of courses; the MSc in Applied GIS at the graduate level and the GIS Minor at the undergraduate level, and the Graduate Certificate in Applied GIS and Professional Certificate in Applied GIS for Continuing Education and Training. Your day to day

Under the general direction of the Hotel Manager, oversee the activities of the Room Division to ensure the achievement of established quality, guest service standards and departmental revenue and profit goals. Adhere to governmental regulations concerning hotel emergency procedures, safety, or other compliance requirements, as well as brand standards and local policies and procedures. Deliver a guest experience that is unique and brings the brand to life.

· Ensures training needs analysis of Rooms Division is carried out and training programs are designed and implemented to meet needs
