Host Pathogen Interactions in A*STAR Infectious Diseases Labs (A*STAR ID Labs) is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher to join the lab.

We are seeking a talented and collaborative post-doctoral researcher to work in the broad scope of host-pathogen interactions and infectious diseases. The lab has various funded projects on the comparison of host-alphavirus interactions at the immune response level in vivo in animal models through a novel viral-centric and multiOmic approach. Other projects include immune response evaluation of vaccine adjuvant candidates, development of cell-based reporter systems of viral infections to facilitate and accelerate antiviral studies, as well as development of novel vaccine strategies.

The candidate will be expected to work on funded projects as well as develop novel research projects in the scope of the lab research interests to be able to apply to the various early career development schemes both at an internal and external national level. Virus studied in the lab are positive sense RNA viruses as well as some negative sense RNA viruses. • Develop and run standardized protocols for untargeted metabolomics (or targeted metabolomics panels) for small molecule analysis.
• Design workflows and optimize analytical methods for performing targeted/untargeted metabolomics experiments for different sample mediums (Plasma/Urine/Tissue).
• Work with different collaborators and lead projects for small molecule metabolomics analysis on various sample types.

The lab of RNA in Disease and Translational Technologies at the Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology, A*STAR, Singapore is seeking to recruit a highly motivated Scientist or Senior Scientist to join a team developing a ribozyme-based RNA platform for potential translational and/or clinical applications.

The work will involve both in vitro and in vivo techniques, including molecular biology (RNA design, in vitro transcription, cell-free RNA assays, RT-qPCR, molecular cloning), cell biology (cell culture, cell transfection, flow cytometry, antisense oligonucleotides and RNAi, CRISPR), high-resolution imaging techniques, and experiments in mouse models (e.g. transgenesis, in situ hybridization and immunohistochemistry, imaging and functional analyses)

Postdoctoral Scientist position

A postdoctoral scientist position is available immediately in the laboratory of Dr. Leslie Beh at IMCB.

The Beh lab seeks to develop cutting-edge CRISPR-Cas technologies to uncover the biological functions of RNA modifications. Dysregulation of these modifications has been linked to cancer, neurological disorders, and metabolic disease. We will determine the mechanisms by which RNA modifications and CRISPR-Cas systems operate by drawing upon diverse techniques, including protein engineering, biochemical reconstitution, genomics, and cell-based experiments.
