[What the role is]
As a community institution, the Majlis Ugama Islam Singapore manages various funds to support multiple socio-economic and religious needs of the community. These funds anchor on the basis of self-reliance and sustainability to collectively build a successful and progressive community. To develop and sustain these funds, we are also looking at ways to strengthen community outreach to increase awareness and promote giving through robust public education campaigns and strategic partnerships.
As a member of the team, you will work on the conceptualisation, planning and implementation of key narratives and communications strategies for community funds. You will also oversee the operational needs of the funds, manage key stakeholders and demonstrate experience in managing, designing and deploying technology solutions for a more effective and efficient community funds outreach and marketing communications strategies.
[What you will be working on]
- Develop and execute comprehensive communications and engagement plans for community funds, utilizing an omni-channel approach encompassing physical and digital spaces, to ensure sustained support for key assets.
- Lead the cultivation of media relationships, including the formulation of media materials for campaigns, announcements, and the development of talking points for spokespersons.
- Drive marketing and advertising campaigns for fundraising initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and target audience engagement.
- Strategize and implement communication plans and strategies for public education and stakeholders’ engagement, fostering meaningful interactions and support.
- Lead the development of product and organizational branding, including the establishment of a cohesive visual identity system.
- Provide clear and compelling descriptions of products to stakeholders, ensuring a thorough understanding of product offerings.
- Manage media accounts and negotiate contracts with media agencies, optimizing resources and maximizing outreach.
- Oversee the planning and implementation of web and mobile engagement platforms, including the digitalization of fund solicitations, to enhance accessibility and engagement.
- Implement rigorous campaign validation initiatives to accurately gauge ground sentiments and stakeholder perceptions.
- Support organizational corporate communications in developing and executing crisis management and issue resolution strategies.
- Stay updated on the latest trends, developments, and technological innovations within the giving and charitable industries, leveraging insights to inform strategic initiatives and decision-making.
[What we are looking for]
- Tertiary education in any discipline.
- Previous experience in advertising, marketing, communications, and/or design, including freelance, collaborative, or supervisory roles, is advantageous (portfolio to be provided).
- Outstanding copywriting skills in English and Malay as you will be working with materials in both languages
- Proficient in conveying ideas and thoughts through visual storytelling.
- Proficiency in using design software and communications tools is a plus.
- Prior experience in storyboarding, video production, and animation is highly regarded.
- Resourceful, energetic, proactive, results-oriented team player.
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
Successful candidate will be appointed on contract basis.
