(A) Job Summary:

To provide site safety leadership; ensure site safety facilities in compliance with corporate safety standards; implement safety directives; improve safety performance and ensure safety policies and procedures are aligned with governmental regulations.

(B) Essential Job Functions:

The WSH Manager is responsible, but not limited to, the following:

• Lead the EHS team to optimize performance in line with construction progress and quality.
• Monitor EHS team deliverables and performance.
• Engage management in EHS matters and ensure active participation.
• Communicate closely with PD/PM to align safety management policies with project intentions.
• Liaise with authorities, clients, and consultants.
• Implement and maintain ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 integrated management systems.
• Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address complex OHS issues, considering legislation, industry standards, and organizational context.
• Perform safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
• Investigate accidents, near-misses, and occupational injuries to determine causes and implement preventive measures.
• Coordinate and evaluate employee safety programs, including strategic safety planning.
• Provide technical advice, coaching, and mentoring to develop HSE capacity among site operational and HSE personnel.
• Conduct and coordinate safety training for workers on rules, regulations, and equipment use.
• Identify best practices and lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce work process risks, raise safety awareness, and improve safe work practices.

(C) Minimum Qualifications:

• Degree in a technical discipline (e.g., Engineering, Environmental, Health and Safety).
• Minimum 6 years of cumulative EHS work experience, with 4 years as a WSHO with a BCA grade A1 contractor in the construction industry.
• Must be a MOM Registered WSH Officer.
• Completion of Earth Control Measures Officer (ECMO) course and Appointed Person in Lifting Operations certification.

(D) Personality:

• Strong organizational, interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Strong safety innovation and creative skills and mind.
• Ability to influence various stakeholders and build long term relationships.
• Ability to lead WSHOs and provide supervision, suggestions and/or instructions to all Safety staff.

(E) Knowledge/ Skills/Abilities:

• Good knowledge of government regulations relating to Occupational Safety, Health and Environmental areas.
• Familiar with OSH/ ISO documentation.
• Excellent English communication and written skill, and conflict management skills
• Able to work under pressure.
• Proficient in Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, and cloud solutions.
• Familiar with data analytical tools and software.

(F) Physical Demand (if applicable):

• Able to work outdoor and climb ladders and stairs.
• Active and able to run swiftly if an emergency situation arises.

The Role

We are looking to hire a Pricing Manager within Asia Protection Pricing team at Pacific Life Re, a major global player in Life Reinsurance. The candidate will join as a senior member of the team and take on the ownership to manage a small team and pricing activities.

As an influential and innovative protection expert, your expertise in pricing, product development and experience analysis will be crucial as you work alongside Underwriting and Client Solutions teams to deliver creative solutions to meet the needs of our clients across the region.

Duties

1. Responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of pricing terms and product development solutions to clients ensuring high technical standards of analysis and the production of high-quality pricing to clients and internal stakeholders.

Key tasks include:

· Manage detailed assessment of opportunities from pricing and risk perspective, with consideration on business strategy.

· Manage projects/quotes with minimal support.

· Peer Review team members’ work

2. Responsible for assigned on-going treaty reviews, pricing methodology and model reviews.

3. Support Client Solutions team in building and maintaining effective relationship with clients and promoting the business’ brand.

4. Provide leadership and mentoring within pricing team, ensuring appropriate development for direct reports.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential

• Qualified Actuary (IFoA, SOA or IOAA)
• At least 8 years of working experience in Life (Re)insurance role with strong understanding of actuarial principles and processes.
• Prior experience in relevant markets and team management.
• Good technical and analytical skills and a demonstrable ability to plan, prioritise workloads and deliver tasks on time.
• Sound understanding of underwriting and claim practices and the interaction with pricing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ensuring appropriate stakeholder management during the end-to-end quote process.
• Awareness of systems such as SAS, SQL, Emblem is an advantage.

5. Budgeting and Cost Control: Managing finances effectively, controlling costs, and maximizing revenue to ensure profitability.

6. Customer Relations: Building and maintaining positive relationships with customers to encourage loyalty and enhance the overall dining experience.

7. Health and Safety Compliance: Ensuring all health and safety regulations are followed to create a safe environment for both staff and customers.

8. Marketing and Promotions: Developing and implementing marketing strategies to attract more customers and increase sales.
