• Review activity impact for iterative enhancements to better meet frailty and wellbeing needs for seniors, activities may include physical leisure (gardening), music, intergenerational projects, etc.
• Review enablers to support activity development and delivery (e.g., capability building of staff, volunteers, partner agencies, etc)
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to maintain a list of senior-friendly activities on AIC’s activity platforms (e.g., Activity Repository)
• Curate and e-publish a monthly activity e-mailer for the Community Care sector
• Support in the following areas:Analyse information, data and ground insights to identify trends, needs and gaps and formulate strategies to support activity provision in the Community Care sector and community
  
  Forge and develop new strategic and sustained partnerships to advance the activity ecosystem for both robust and frail seniors

Job Responsibilities

1. Building and Maintenance

• Support the Manager in the execution of preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure that the facilities at CDAC Headquarters and Centres are maintained to high standards.
• Assist in ensuring timely troubleshooting, service, and maintenance operations across all sites.
• Respond promptly to service requests and carry out maintenance tasks related to building and mechanical/electrical (M&E) services at CDAC locations.
• Conduct regular inspections of premises to assess the need for repairs or renovations.
• Assist to plan and oversee the installation of M&E services, as well as building refurbishments.
• Monitor utilities consumption and implement measures to optimise cost efficiency.

2. Contract, Project, and Budget Management

• Assist to prepare tender specifications for building works.
• Assist to administer maintenance budgets, performing cost analysis and forecasting to ensure efficient resource allocation.
• Assist to manage contracts with service providers for services such as landscaping, security, cleaning, electrical systems, and air-conditioning maintenance.
• Coordinate with suppliers and service providers to ensure maintenance work adheres to contractual and procedural standards, including compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Maintain basic technical knowledge of M&E systems, including fire protection, audio-visual (AV), and air-conditioning, mechanical ventilation (ACMV) systems.

3. Compliance Monitoring

• Assist the Manager in ensuring that facilities meet government regulations, including health and safety, security, and energy efficiency standards. This includes adherence to Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) policies and Environmental Management Systems (EMS).

Requirements

• Minimum Diploma in Building Services, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in building facilities maintenance and project management, particularly in Additions & Alterations (A&A) works.
• Basic technical expertise in building maintenance.
• Ability to read construction and M&E drawings is a must.
• Strong independent work ethic with a focus on planning, execution, and delivering results.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.

A Day in the Life:

• Manage on-site projects to ensure timely completion
• Liaise with contractors on work scope, work progress and work schedules
• Prepare quotation and job schedule
• Prepare project-budget and billing
• Coordinate work between team and contractors to ensure the projects run smoothly
• Control quality of work and ensure rectification by contractor is of acceptable standard
• Monitor daily progress of work
• Verify all dimensions on-site against drawings

Responsibilities

• Handling of the fleet requisitions, sourcing and making the necessary arrangement for delivery to the vessels
• Monitoring and controlling of the vessels consumables to prevent unnecessary wastage
• To keep track of the cargo hoses registry, lifting gears registry and PPE of all shipboard personnel
• Monitoring of the vessels LSA and FFA
• Appointed as safety committee member to carry out tool-box meetings for all the vessels
• To arrange and co-ordinate between crew and clinic for medical appointment or consultation and monitoring of the vessels’ medical supplies as per statutory requirements
• Preparation of crew employment contract
• Application of flag state endorsements, Harbour craft licence renewal, etc, via MPA and Digiport, ensuring compliance with regulations of all relevant authorities and the certification of all vessels is maintained in accordance with the relevant Class and Flag State requirements
• To maintain the personnel files for all crew members and ensure all member files are comprehensive with current documentation of crew credentials that being updated accordingly in a timely manner
• To assist in planning and oversees the assignment of the officers and ratings for the fleet, crew change rotations, ensuring that rotations are executed in a timely basis, the vessels are properly manned and updated as per MPA requirements via Digiport
• Sourcing, recruitment and carry out initial interview of the ship crews
• Providing induction training/ orientation to all newly join ship crews
• Providing general support to the ship staffs and making schedule visits to vessels for crewing matters
• Any other fleet management related tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the management

• Relevant working experience in similar capacity.
• Possession of Class 3 driving license will be an advantage.
