General Manager, Wärtsilä Energy Marketing & Communications, Middle East and Asia

This opportunity is a 6-month fixed term assignment, and it’s location is Singapore.

Responsibilities

• In this role you will lead the Wärtsilä Energy’s Middle East and Asia (MEA) marketing and communications activities and act as leader for the area marketing & communications team.

• The team’s mission is to build awareness for Wärtsilä in MEA focus markets, organise communications to support active market development, increase preference of Wärtsilä’s solutions and services among target customers through locally relevant value propositions and effective use of marketing channels as well as generating leads. • You set up and foster a network of creative and communications agencies to support marketing & communications efforts in focus countries.

Requirements:

• A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or other relevant field of study.

• 5+ years working experience in international B2B marketing and communications within the Energy sector, more specifically the engine power plant solutions and services industry.

• A successful track record of leading a marketing & communications team within a global corporation in the Energy sector.

• A proven understanding of the following energy sector topics:

• The energy transition and energy markets in Middle East and Asia.

• Designing and building flexible power systems to enable renewable energy ramp up.

• Engine power plant technology.
