Release Manager

We are looking for a skilled Release Management Lead to join our team, responsible for automating deployments, overseeing releases, and tracking technical products within our CEx Product Lines. Working closely with other departments and Product Managers, this role will help shape the release management strategy and environment management in line with company policies. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in implementing and overseeing release processes, collaborating with diverse teams, and ensuring smooth software deployments. Strong attention to detail, effective communication, organizational abilities, and the capacity to thrive in a dynamic, team-oriented setting are essential for this position.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

• Establish and uphold release management processes in line with best practices, SDLC, and continuous enhancement.
• Work closely with various teams to coordinate software releases and implement automation tools for improved efficiency on Cloud environments.
• Implementing DevSecOps Standards and Knowledge of continuous integration and development (CI/CD) tools.
• Experience in IT environment management and infrastructure management on Cloud, especially AWS

• Drive and lead the improvement of the software engineering processes and practices associated with continuously building, deploying, and updating software and environments.
• Maintain version control of software releases and ensure that all necessary documentation, release notes, and artifacts are properly managed.

• Identify potential risks and issues related to software releases. Implement strategies to minimize risks and ensure smooth releases.

• Facilitate effective communication with all stakeholders, providing timely release updates, managing expectations, and resolving conflicts or issues.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation in the release management lifecycle to enhance efficiency, quality, and agility.

• Conduct release readiness reviews to ensure compliance with quality standards, release criteria, and regulatory requirements.

• Evaluate the success and effectiveness of software releases, collecting feedback, metrics, and lessons learned for continuous improvement.

• Stay informed about industry trends, offer guidance to team members, and encourage a culture of ongoing learning and development.

WHAT YOU MUST HAVE

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 8+ years of relevant work experience, with demonstrated expertise in the Release Management domain including strong technical understanding of relevant tools and processes in a pharmaceutical industry
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple releases simultaneously.
• Deep experience with E2E Software Delivery processes, Code Versioning and Release Management technologies, CI/CD automations
• Strong knowledge of release management principles, methodologies, and best practices.
• Experience with version control systems and release management tools (e.g., Git, Jenkins, JIRA).
• Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams globally

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to identify and mitigate risks

• Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies

[What you will be working on]

The officer will be part of the team working to anchor a major wellness attraction in Singapore. Responsibilities include: 

• Work in team which drives the process for appointment of master developer for the wellness attraction. This includes concept evaluation and award.  

• To call for tender and lead the appointment of a business consultant to assess project viability.

• To be working closely with STB Legal and appointed external legal counsel on the contracts and documents needed to protect govt interest in the project.

• Serve as STB's key POC for the appointed developer (ie investor-facing OIC). 

Additionally, the officer might be involved to support other Wellness projects as they come on stream, including future editions of Wellness Festival Singapore. Responsibilities can include:

• Investment promotion of new wellness concepts for Singapore

[What you will be working on:]
•    Manage Product Users’ Engagement by supporting Product Managers in developing strategies and plans to engage internal and external stakeholders to launch, implement, drive adoption, awareness, and education of Products, such as NLB Mobile App, Seat Booking System, Express Borrowing Gantry, and also future Products such as Content Discovery app. 
•    Assist Product Managers to collect and collate Product data from multiple channels, e.g., web statistics, app statistics, user feedback and perform basic analysis to help Product Managers better understand the asks and needs of the users with simple insights. Work closely with other data teams to track results and translate insights into actions.
•    Assist Product Managers in managing the Product Backlog by recording new user stories and setting initial priority for them. Follow up with Product Managers to set up regular Product Backlog refinement sessions.
•    Assist Product Managers or ScrumMasters in organising agile activities and to update/ upkeep Agile tools like JIRA, etc.
