Job Summary: The Commercial Analyst is responsible for analysing and optimizing the hotel’s revenue and commercial performance. This includes preparing forecasts, budgets, and projections while managing key revenue streams across all channels, with a particular focus on Online Travel Agencies (OTAs). The Commercial Analyst will use data-driven insights to influence pricing strategies, sales efforts, and inventory management, working closely with multiple departments to maximize profitability across all areas of the hotel.

Key Responsibilities:

• Revenue & Commercial Analysis: Monitor and analyze revenue, profit, and demand data for hotel rooms and function space, with a focus on maximizing profitability. Prepare and manage forecasts, budgets, and daily/weekly projections to support the hotel’s commercial strategies. Use data to critique sales strategies and provide historical and future revenue analysis to identify opportunities for growth.
• Focus on OTA Performance: Analyze and optimize OTA channels as a key focus, ensuring competitive rates, availability, and promotions that drive revenue. Implement rate strategies and promotional offers tailored to OTA platforms, ensuring alignment with the hotel’s overall revenue goals. Identify opportunities for improvement and adjust strategies based on real-time data to enhance OTA performance.
• Inventory & Yield Management: Assist in managing room inventory, pricing, and availability across all channels to optimize occupancy and revenue. Support the use of revenue management systems to analyze demand patterns and adjust pricing strategies accordingly.
• Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and F&B teams to align commercial strategies and maximize revenue across all departments. Provide data insights to support promotional activities, pricing packages, and operational decisions that drive revenue.
• Reporting & Forecasting: Generate detailed reports on OTA performance, overall revenue metrics, and progress against forecasts, providing actionable insights for senior management. Contribute to long-term revenue planning through accurate forecasting and budgeting.

Skills & Knowledge:

• Analytical Expertise: Strong proficiency in data analysis, particularly with OTA performance metrics and broader commercial revenue data.
• Revenue Management Systems: Familiarity with systems like PMS, CRS, and channel managers, and experience working with OTA platforms such as Expedia, Booking.com, and Agoda.
• Communication Skills: Ability to communicate complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders clearly and effectively.
• Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail in managing rates, inventory, and OTA strategies.
• Problem-Solving:Ability to identify and act on opportunities to optimize revenue streams and improve performance.

Experience & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management, Business, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field. MBA preferred or similar advanced degree.
• 5+ years of experience in revenue management, commercial analysis, or a similar role.
• Proficiency in Excel and other data analysis tools.
• Experience working with OTAs and a strong understanding of their role in driving hotel revenue.

• Assist Accountant with preparation of accounts including: month, quarter, and end-year process, accounts payable/receivable, GST reporting (quarterly), general ledger, treasury and debt activity
• Process Invoices, Credit Notes, Journals
• Work with colleague(s) on cash receipts, bank reconcilliation, monitor accounts receivable collection, accounts payables and claims.
• Handle & process HR onboarding/offboarding, staff claims, work pass applications & renewals
• Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles
• Assist with annual audits
• Prepare and complete accounts of the proceeding month within 10 days of the new month
• Prepare monthly Profit and loss to monitor expenses and income
• Update term contractors list and forward a copy to Account Officer in charge.
• Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions
• Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Working experience with accounts
• Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases, Quickbook preferred
• Ability to manipulate data on excel well
• Basic knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Relvant Diploma or equivalent experience in Finance, Accountancy

Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and analytical Junior Commercial Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will support the development and implementation of market strategies by analyzing market trends, competitor activities, and industry dynamics within the LNG sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background, a keen interest in energy markets, and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct research on LNG market trends, pricing, demand-supply dynamics, forecasts, and regulatory developments. Analyze market data and reports to identify trends and opportunities.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including operation and finance, to support market-related initiatives and ensure alignment with company goals.
• Support LNG or gas sales agreement term-sheet negotiations by preparing confidentiality agreements; arranging the meetings; developing and maintaining the meeting records and other such tasks needed to support the progress of a negotiation, as directed by the lead negotiator.
• Support the lead negotiator in the preparation of initial review drafts of sales agreements or term sheets as well as follow up the version management and comment tracking of the document through the negotiation process.
• Responsible for the approval documentation and the execution logistics of LNG or gas sales agreements through the authorised signatories (senior management).
• Supports the maintenance of internal controls, tools and procedures such as updating databases; performing controls checks and filing of deal documentation.
• Support the customer relationship management process by contributing to the customer database and meeting records as well as the logistics arrangements for customer visits up to senior management level.
• Performs scoping analyses on customers or market developments as directed by senior marketers

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced studies or certifications in market analysis or energy sectors are a plus.
• Experience: 1-3 years of experience in market/commercial analysis, preferably within the energy or LNG sector. Internships or academic projects related to market analysis are also valuable.
• Skills: Strong analytical and quantitative skills. Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint) and market research software. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge: Understanding of LNG markets, energy economics, and related industry trends. Familiarity with market research methodologies and forecasting techniques.
• Attributes: Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities. Capable of working independently as well as part of a team. Proactive and eager to learn.
• Strong computer skills, including Excel, PowerPoint database tools, etc.
• Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia is essential but not necessary.
