Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage the financial and statutory accounting for the assigned entity.

Responsibilities - Accounting Work:

• Handle full set of accounts and prepare financial statements for audit purposes.

Qualifications

1) Full Set of Accounts Management:

- Responsible to manage and maintain the full set of accounts.

- Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.

- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.1

2) Accounts Payable and Receivable:

- Handle all aspects of accounts payable and receivable.

- Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.

- Handling and developing improvement processes in overall General Ledger account including managing subledger of AR, AP, and Inventory account, Intercompany transaction, account revaluation and depreciation.

- Update the receipt entries in the accounting system on daily basis

- Manage accounts payable and receivable functions, including invoice processing and follow up to the clients with regards the outstanding AR in timely manner.

3) General Ledger Maintenance:

- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.

- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

- Prepare and post journal entries as required.

4) Financial Reporting and Analysis:

- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.

- Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions.

- Prepare ad-hoc financial reports as needed.

5) Compliance and Audit:

- Ensure compliance with local tax, GST regulations and filing requirements.

- Ensure quarterly GST submission is accurate and submitted on timely basis

- Assist with internal and external audits.

- Maintain accurate and organized financial records.

6) Human Resources Functions:

- Support monthly payroll and incentive calculations.

- Process staff claims and reimbursements.

- Maintain and organise personnel records and filing.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy/Finance strongly preferred.

Minimum 3 years of full set accounting experience.

Meticulous and organized.

Proactive and independent

Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills

CPA/ACCA/CA or equivalent is a plus point

Strong technical skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment, having good oral and written communication skills and be analytical, independent, and proactive

You should have a minimum qualification of Degree in Accounting and/or finance, with at least 3 years of related experience. To succeed in this role, you should be well versed in accounting knowledge and are familiar with SFRS. Prior experience in SAP would be advantageous. As part of our expanding operations in the APAC, we are now looking for an awesome Tax Manager to join our growing finance team in Singapore serving our APAC operations.

You’ll be part of a commercially-minded Global Tax team in Finance, helping to ensure our tax affairs are efficient, transparently compliant and slick so that our mission is sustainable. 

Your mission

• Manage the outsourced preparation of APAC corporate tax and withholding tax computations (e.g. Australia, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, India, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Philippines and Thailand). This includes adhering to controls, managing risks and identifying ways to automate and streamline manual tasks using existing systems or emerging technologies. 
• Work closely with Product and Banking teams on expansion of new products and licence applications to ensure tax requirements are met.
• Assist with the preparation of IFRS half year and year-end tax reporting and tax provisions for local statutory accounts and group reporting with the help of advisors where necessary. 
• Work closely with financial controllers, accounting, and finance system teams for sources of data and information, including directly extracting information from our ERP system.
• Support the on ad hoc research and projects, including expansion into new countries and liaising with external advisors to ensure tax requirements are met.
• Engage in team-wide initiatives including budgeting, forecasting, planning, risks and controls. It is important to be interested in and engaged in all tax initiatives and to work closely with all members of the tax team.
