As an Analyst in the Asia Pacific Prime Cash Middle Office team you will provide operational support for both Equities and Fixed Income Prime Brokerage activity, working with the business, technology and external clients to provide a positive client experience.
You will be required to partner with our clients, as well as with our internal teams; Front Office, Product Development, Product Control, Client Service, Sales, Corporate Actions, and Technology. There will be continual opportunities to be involved with a variety of initiatives across the organization and to contribute towards a rapidly evolving environment.
Job responsibilities
• Act as first point of contact for external clients on all operational issues including: valuations, collateral, settlements, documentation, audit, technology, account set up and legal documentation, client reporting
• Act as first point of contact for Account Managers on trade bookings / issue resolution
• Define and execute agenda for external clients, including best practice reviews, KPIs, surveys, and STP rates
• Attend quarterly review meetings with external clients
• Coordinate with global partners in middle office and client service to help drive process improvements, system changes and improve/maintain our client relationships
• Communicate open issues to our clients and internal partners in a clear and concise manner, ensuring a full understanding of the issue
• Manage client queries, ensuring they are investigated and resolved in a timely fashion
• Manage trade life cycle; allocations, pre-matching, settlements, corporate actions, affirmations & regulatory reporting
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and work with the relevant partners to deliver to the business
• Apply MIS and trend analysis to identify the root cause and partner with internal teams to resolve the issue
• Liaise with clients and internal teams to ensure timely/accurate trade capture. Also work closely with external clients, settlement teams and third party institutions to settle the trades.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
• Minimum 1 year of experience in the financial services industry
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to develop strong working relationships with marketers, external clients, traders and other support teams
• Must be a self-starter with the motivation, demonstration of initiative, and ownership mentality to think outside of the box as necessary
• Ability to take ownership/ responsibility and properly escalate issues to management, controls and front office teams.

• Highly organized, able to multi-task and prioritize in a fast paced environment with exceptional attention to detail
• Positive “Can Do” attitude and ability to work under pressure
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills, including the ability to understand the external client’s perspective when applying solutions
• Creative problem solving with a focus on improving / maintaining client relationships
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics or other related disciplines
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
• Working understanding of Equities and Fixed Income products; and their relevant process flows
• Strong PC skills with particular emphasis on Microsoft excel, formula construction, and excel reconciliation solutions
• Ability to drive and manage global initiatives and projects driven by the business, industry or operations
