• Lead a team of construction engineers and supervisors for the safe, efficient, and quality execution of construction works assigned.
• Responsible for the HSES and quality aspects of the work within assigned areas and for ensuring contractors complete their work in accordance with the project working program.
• Ensure that all construction contractors’ supervision and manpower are instructed and comply with all aspects of Health, Safety, Environment and Security (HSES) policy, site regulations, permit to work procedures and instructions and Client requirements
• Conduct routine checks and inspections of works on site to ensure compliance with authorities' and client’s requirements.
• Ensure Plant is constructed to the drawings, specifications, applicable standards, and good construction practices and schedule and maintain records for final documentation.
• Monitor progress with schedules and provide updates
• Comply with the company's construction methods, procedures and practices in all respects, particularly those relating to quality assurance, safety, personnel, and industrial relations; where these are found to be inadequate immediately report the deficiencies and suggest solutions.
• Check the daily ptw system and make sure all activities shall be covered by ptw system
• Supervise multi-disciplinary construction project site team in accordance with requirements specified in the contract documents
• Work closely with construction and engineering management on coordination of inter / intra contract activities.
• Read the ITP (Inspection and test plan) of each activity and make sure construction quality is met for each activity.
• Installation of equipment and structure as per the plan.
• Supervise equipment installation and piping work performed by construction sub-contractor and ensure compliance with established the construction activities.
• Organizing for preparation of piping systems for testing based on the test pack limits specified in the approved test packs.
• Attend final walkthrough of completed piping systems and verify clearing of all punch list prior to mechanical completion

Requirements

• Degree / Diploma in Engineering
• 10 years’ experience in the process and/or utility/power construction industry.
• Experience in most areas, including field engineering, project control, quality control, administration of contracts and subcontracts, craft supervision, field superintendence, safety, labour relations, maintenance, turnarounds and outages, commissioning and other applicable positions and functions.
• Familiar with steel structural, equipment ( pump, water system , mechanical system installation, testing (T&C), piping system, plant construction. Understand with construction sequence and schedule and interface with all trade.
• Have knowledge and familiarity with the methods, practices, equipment, codes, documents, drawings, specifications, requirements, functions and control systems of the engineering and construction business.

Responsibilities:

• Be familiar with PV installations and technical requirements.
• Co-review/interpret PV drawings such as Layout Drawings, String Diagrams, Single Line Diagrams, PV System Simulation (e.g. PVSyst) reports, Shading Analyses.
• Appreciate/apply local regulations and requirements from the relevant agencies (e.g. SCDF, HDB, BCA, CAAS) for Solar Installations.
• Plan/lead/conduct QAQC Inspections:
• Perform daily inspections at various sites.
• Check against the requirements written in the checklists.
• Record poor quality/defects and follow up with the punch clearing expeditiously.
• Audit factories or Contractors when required.
• Provide technical support during PV maintenance works.
• Participate in root cause analyses.
• Participate in safety programs.
• Other duties or projects as assigned.

Requirements:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, applicants with a Diploma in Electrical Engineering and more than 5 years of experience are welcome to apply
• 1-2 years of experience in electrical equipment and/or PV systems’ operations and maintenance.
• Possession of safety certification such as BCSS, & WAH assessor or Managing Work at Height would be an added advantage.
• Comfortable working outdoors, climbing ladders, and working at heights due to the nature of work.
• Possesses a positive attitude, willingness to learn, good team player and high integrity and sense of ownership.
• Strong record-keeping and documentation abilities.
• A strong believer in continuous improvement.
• Participation or experience in Lean, Kaizen or Total Productive Maintenance programs would be an added advantage.
• Valid Class 3/3A would be an added advantage.
