Skyy Design Workshop has an opening for carpenter to produce prefabricated parts for events, exhibitions and interior spacing.

Description

• Build items by using raw materials or pre-constructed items
• Carpentry skills with wood or fabricated furniture
• Take measurements and calculate the size/size/number of materials needed
• Assemble and install in a workshop or client's house using machine/hand tools
• Follow establishment safety rules and regulations
• Assist in workplace safety management, inventory and also operations.
• Capable of following instructions and communicating with co-workers

Requirement:

• Min. 3 years of working experience as a Carpenter or similar role
• Good skillset and communication well
• Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the company’s success
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Team player
• Good time-management skills

1 Installs foundations, walls, floors, ceilings, and roofs using materials such as: wood, steel, metal, concrete, plastics, and composites of multiple materials.

2 Fits and installs window frames, doors, door frames, door hardware, interior and exterior trim using a carpenter’s level, plumb bob, and laser levels.

3 Erects scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground levels.

4 Studies specifications in blueprints, sketches, or building plans to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials required.

5 Shapes or cuts materials to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines, or power saws.

6 Follows established safety rules and regulations and maintaining a safe and clean environment

7 Builds or repairs cabinets, doors, frameworks, floors, or other wooden fixtures used in buildings, using woodworking machines, hand tools, or power tools.

8 Assembles and fastens materials to make frameworks or props, using hand tools and wood screws, nails, dowel pins, or glue.

9 Removes damaged or defective parts or sections of structures and repair or replace, using hand tools.

10 Inspects ceiling or floor tile, wall coverings, siding, glass, or woodwork to detect broken or damaged structures.

11 Moves necessary materials around jobsite as assigned.

12 Cleans up worksite debris.
