Regional Event Operations Manager
Singapore
The Regional Event Operations Manager is responsible for overall account leadership, serving as the key regional point of contact and accountable for success metrics, account retention, strategic development, and management of the assigned global client account in the pharmaceutical industry.
The Regional Event Operations Manager will provide excellent client and employee support and exhibit leadership in the areas of problem resolution, customer service, technology knowledge, and process/policy adherence.
Your responsibilities
- Directly accountable for overall account relationship and service delivery, delivering on client expectations, and achieving BCD M&E account financial performance. Monitor negotiated savings on total meeting spend to ensure client expectation of savings/cost avoidance is being met.
- Consistently communicate, monitor, measure and evaluate client expectations and service level requirements. Accountable for the appropriate adjustments and alterations of service level requirements as required and corresponding professional delivery on all client objectives.
- Stay ahead of and consistently communicate industry trends, benchmarks, process improvements, strategic plans, technology solutions and BCD M&E products and services to client
- Maintain existing and develop new standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Conduct monthly and annual budgeting and forecasting reviews for assigned accounts; alert client of any anticipated account/program budget variances or other operational issues and solution resolution options.
- Serve as escalation point for client stakeholders and internal operations teams, provide high level problem resolution. Ensure on-going survey evaluations are conducted and reviewed, ensuring consistency in service delivery and quality.
- Ensure proactive optimization of client account and activity, recommend continuous improvement processes and changes where appropriate.
- Responsible for communicating the clients' global guidelines and process changes to internal teams. RAM must ensure that local teams conduct proper implementation protocol and effective training of processes to guarantee compliance and efficiency.
- Actively support and drive change management internally and with client
- Conduct regularly scheduled client meetings and annual account review with clients
- Work closely with other regional operations managers and global operations director to drive consistency and best practice sharing across regional operations teams.
- Oversee the completion of staff recruiting, hiring, training, development, motivation, and separation as needed.

We’re looking for you if your profile matches the following:
Essential:
- Diploma or Degree in Event Management or equivalent
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in client management preferably within event planning industry
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing outside vendors, sourcing and negotiating contract services
- Minimum 5 years in supervisory or team lead experience
- Good analytical skills, general understanding of accounting, budget and profit and loss statements
- Strong client relationship and customer service
- Strong communication skills, including public speaking and client presentations.
- Ability to lead and work well under pressure and adapt to ever-changing scenarios
- Able to travel up to 10%, when required
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
- CMP or CMM certification strongly preferred
- Cvent experience and like technology platforms
- Resource management.
