Summary
You will be responsible to oversee and lead the day-to-day delivery of operations in key areas, namely, program scheduling, network presentation, digital content management and promo production for entire Asia Pacific region. Being an integral member of the Channel Operations team, you will also help to shape the development of our entertainment content, reflect the brand values and maintain consistent audience flow through our channels by leading and strategizing the deployment of programming strategies across all channels and taking a proactive role in all liaisons with the play-out partners, sports federations and suppliers to ensure timely content delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Management in implementing programming priorities and strategies across all channels to ensure that content is properly managed to drive ratings and enhance channel positioning and branding across all beIN APAC broadcast footprint.
- Oversee all functions in the Channel Operations team to deliver their priorities in broadcast management and operations.
- Strategize with the team in maintenance, update, and allocation of on-air data and program inventories.
- Maintaining and upkeep of operational procedures to ensure robust operational workflow.
- Manage and curate content assets for beIN APAC digital service across beIN APAC broadcast footprint
- Develop deep knowledge by understanding, researching and analyzing programs and their ratings to optimize programming strategies and aid in performance monitoring of the channels.
- Identify and develop innovative and successful programming ideas and promotions, as well as to ensure that promotion plans are delivered by the team in accordance to the requirements and objectives of the channels.
- Take the lead ownership in producing detailed reports for promotion commissioning, maximization of rights utilization and channel viewership, as well as competitor analysis.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external parties such as content distributors and platform partners to ensure smooth delivery of broadcasting materials, gather feedback for improvements and revenue optimization, as well as to meet contractual obligations.
- Support communications and marketing of content with internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage and coach the team to upkeep their development and performance at both individual and team levels.
- Keep abreast of competitive and industry trends to evaluate beIN’s competitive edge in assigned markets.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience in broadcast programming role or other similar functions such as Media Planning, Traffic & Presentation, and Channel Operations.
- Strong experience in formulating of programming strategies.
- Good understanding of planning and scheduling of programs and promotions.
- Able to evaluate content for editorial merit and regional sensitivities in the assigned markets.
- Passionate about sports entertainment and media industry.
- Good leadership and interpersonal skills to manage and motivate a huge team.
- Manage a team of people managers to ensure smooth operations and morale.
- Strategic leader with strong track record in tactical operations within media operations.
- Possess an analytical background with good research skills.
- Meticulous and equipped with strong time management skills.
- Well-honed interpersonal skills to manage various situations.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, and ability to adapt to new business management software.
- Ability to multi-task under tight timelines and pressure.
