Roles and Responsibilities:

· Expected to work professionally in managing and training students, working with teachers and support school-wide projects and operations

· Manage and operate the Makers Garage

· Train and mentor projects relating to the Makers Garage

· Provide school-wide ICT support which includes professional media support and additional technical expertise to handle the increasingly sophisticated ICT implementation in schools (examples: support media equipment setup, TV messaging, video recording & editing and web conferencing for teaching and learning);

· Manage the implementation of events in schools (examples: media equipment setup, live streaming for major school events etc);

· Execute daily operational and administrative duties (examples: schedule for events, setup, test, monitor and troubleshoot audio, video and control systems problems as and when is required);

· Perform preventive maintenance for all media equipment to ensure that they are well maintained and in good working condition (Identify, recommend, purchase, install and configure equipment and services as when required);

· Maintain Audio Visual / Video conferencing equipment inventory, generate monthly reports and highlight low inventory numbers or faulty equipment;

· Be a point of contact for vendors, work closely with them to install and troubleshoot the issues (installing, testing, operating, maintaining and dismantling of equipment);

· Train students in Media Resource Club during their designated CCA days on Public announcement (PA) system, photography and videography;

· To assist, guide and advice students for Media related competitions, e.g. OSOS (Our Schools; Our Stories), etc.

· Provide support to the school in areas of videography and photography

· Other duties include providing consultancy and assisting all teachers in media-related matters and problems.

· Assist the Head ICT in other ICT related matters.

Requirements:

· 3 years’ experience as ICT trainer, preferably in a MOE secondary school environment

· 1 year experience in training students in public announcement (PA) system

· 1 year experience in training students in photography, preferably in a secondary school

· 1 year experience in training students videography, preferably in a secondary school

The Global Citizen Academy is seeking an experienced individual proficient in 3D Printing program for elementary to high school students. The ideal candidate should possess a robust background and a comprehensive understanding of formats such TinkerCAD

The selected trainer will conduct lessons utilizing materials provided by The Global Citizen Education Group. This role is based in Singapore, and trainers will be required to travel for on-site training programs. Engagement and remuneration will be on a per-program basis.

Trainers will work as freelancers and must be residents of Singapore, preferably holding certification as an MOE-IRS (Ministry of Education-Instructor Registration System) certified instructor.

Responsibilities

• Conduct engaging training sessions for students based on the curriculum developed by TGCEG.
• Provide feedback on students’ performance and behavior periodically.
• Execute classroom management for small group lessons.

Qualifications

Job Scope:

1. Assist in school-initiated projects and provide project updates to the HOD / ICT and prepare any relevant documentation and guidelines pertaining to the project.

Support in Teaching and Learning

1. Assist the HOD / ICT and teachers in the integration of ICT tools in teaching and learning.

2. Assist HOD / ICT and ICT Manager in driving an e-learning ICT culture to expand teaching and learning.

3. Assist in implementation of e-learning activities.

Management of Resources

1. Assist the HOD / ICT and work closely with ICT Manager with managing the school’s resources such as the replacement and condemnation of ICT equipment, and the managing of loaning of ICT equipment.

2. Assist the HOD / ICT and ICT Manager with managing and optimizing the Learning Management System (LMS) tools and resources.

Training

1. Plan and conduct baseline ICT training for students.

2. Plan and conduct training for students to be familiar with ICT tools and e-learning platforms.

3. Assist ICT manager during training for teachers on the use of ICT and AV equipment.

4. Review all training programmes for both students and teachers and make the necessary improvisations.

5. Plan, assist and conduct CCA training when needed by the Authority.

6. Train and prepare students for ICT related competitions (eg: National Robotic Competition)

REQUIREMENT:

a. Minimum diploma, preferably in multimedia, design, computer studies or information technology related.

b. Must have at least 12 months of relevant work experience, preferably in a school environment.

c. Proficient in Office Suite (Microsoft 365 Suite & Google Office Suite including Google Classroom and GSUITE admin)

d. Adobe Media editing softwares such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, etc.
