The J.P. Morgan Commercial & Investment Bank (CIB) Events team works in partnership with all lines of business to plan, execute and support primarily clients, and some internal conferences and events.

Event teams are located in key markets in APAC, EMEA, NA and LatAm and comprise experienced event professionals with the specialized expertise and supplier relationships to execute events to the highest standard while closely managing costs.

As part of the Strategic Event Marketing team based in Singapore, the successful candidate will work with senior management, manager and colleagues on all event-related responsibilities from inception to execution, including event plans, venue research, event proposals, budget management and event-related reporting. The successful candidate will have significant exposure and interaction with senior management, will be required to have a thorough understanding of business strategy and goals, and be equipped with strategic, financial and project management skills to support the firm to increase client business/deepen existing client relationships. The successful candidate will also be expected to partner effectively with colleagues at all levels and from other functions including Lines of Businesses, Legal, Compliance, Marketing & Communications teams, sales & bankers, product partners and senior management.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Lead event initiatives in the region, partnering with lines of businesses, marketing and functions to develop impactful events aligned to business strategy
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with confidence in being an ambassador to internal clients. Ability to interact, influence and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and across Lines of Businesses
• Hands-on self-starter with strong project management and team player skills, and flexibility to support team members with their events and also manage an event on an end-to-end basis. Candidate must be detail-oriented and able to prioritize and simultaneously manage multiple tasks
• Manage external vendors and venues as well as the end-to-end process of event planning, ranging from event briefs, research, approvals, invitee & speaker management, venue set-up, event design, onsite support, production management (audio-visual, virtual event management), budget management and post-event analysis.
• Adhere to internal policies and procedures with regards to reporting activities and spend, compliance regulations, approval processes and ensuring appropriate documentation is in place
• Accurately maintain Events database which includes (but is not limited to) event metrics, budgets, invoicing, ticketing and event collateral

The ideal candidate:

• Degree in Events, Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Hotel Management, or a related degree is preferred
• Minimum 5 years of experience in event planning and management/execution, preferably in the financial services industry
• Strong problem-solving, analytical and project management skills with the ability to confidently lead and manage events on an end-to-end basis
• Client-focused, highly organized and process-oriented with the ability to manage multiple and competing deadlines
• Confidence to be an ambassador to internal management with the ability to forge strong relationships, interact, influence and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and across Lines of Businesses
• Ability to work both autonomously and as a team player with proven ability to communicate in a clear, concise, and accurate manner. Effectively collaborate with team members, vendors and internal and external stakeholders at all levels
• Excellent English oral and written communications skills with a high level of attention to detail. Mandarin proficiency would be an advantage
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and must be savvy with technology
• Periodic after-hours work will be required
• Periodic travel within Asia Pacific may be required

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support Customer and Content groups, by synthesizing and curating audience insights across media currencies (e.g. TV, Radio, Editorial, Digital, Social) including secondary research sources to help drive product, content and business strategy.
• Support Commercial group by delivering impactful value propositions to advertisers, including translating transmedia metrics into actionable performance insights for future campaigns.
• Synthesize, integrate mainstream, digital and social audience data from disparate sources and communicate a coherent story to address on-going business requirements.
• Manage custom quantitative and qualitative research initiatives, defining their business objectives, refining research instruments, data synthesis and insight generation.
• Deliver prompt response to ad-hoc analysis requests from Mainstream, Digital Sales and product teams.
• Apply enterprise level transmedia audience measurement framework and disseminate metrics/benchmarks via an online MIS platform/s e.g. Power BI.
• Utilise machine learning, AI capabilities etc to enhance business processes.
• Leverage unified customer database to derive transmedia insights about audiences.
• Train Business Operations team on relevant tools and solutions developed/used by CIA team.

• Degree in Statistics, Business Analytics or equivalent quantitative discipline.
• 3 years relevant working experience in research or related domains.
• Able to demonstrate numerical and storytelling capabilities in translating complex data into meaningful insights.

Social Media Strategy Development:

• Partnering with clients to gain insights into their marketing goals and target demographics, and crafting comprehensive social media strategies that align with these objectives.
• Generating captivating and persuasive content for a variety of social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and TikTok. This encompasses writing and editing posts, conceptualizing design ideas, and collaborating with designers and talent to produce graphics, videos, and other multimedia content, including EDMs, social media audits, and branding guides.
• Overseeing and managing social media accounts for both clients and the company, which involves scheduling and posting content, engaging with followers and customers, and responding to comments and messages.

Advertising Campaigns:

• Creating and executing paid social media advertising campaigns to effectively reach the intended audience. This includes setting up ad campaigns, determining targeting criteria, monitoring performance, and optimizing campaigns to meet desired outcomes.

Analytics and Reporting:

• Tracking and evaluating social media metrics and performance using tools such as Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, and social media management platforms. Producing reports to measure the success of social media strategies and campaigns, and offering data-driven recommendations for improvement.
• Keeping abreast of the latest trends, innovations, and best practices in social media marketing. Adopting new features and emerging platforms to ensure clients are leveraging the most effective strategies.

This is an entry-level role that sits within our Activation specialism which provides campaign analysis for our clients, who are among the world’s largest advertisers working with data collection and deliverables for Value Track, Benchmarking and Agency Selection via GMP365 platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Collection and processing of data, which involves liaising with media agencies to organise and co-ordinate the data supply. Media performance analysis, collating and interpreting data.
• Regular contact with agencies to gather data and respond to their feedback.
• Organising and comparing data, checking and analysing discrepancies between audited data. Provide accurate analysis using internal company tools and/or Excel.
• Analysis of media campaigns vs. guarantees across cost and quality KPI's on different media channels including TV, Digital, OOH, Radio and Print.
• Creating presentations to assist with the deliverables to our clients.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

• You will be fluent in English. English is essential for daily communication.
