Reporting directly to the CFO, the successful incumbent will be involved in a full suite of Procurement functions, support in identifying cost-saving opportunities, optimize processes and identify potential areas of risk through strong business acumen and analytical skills. This is a sole contributor role.
The key duties and responsibilities of the role include (but are not limited to):
- Manage and lead procurement activities for supplies and services from vendors.
- Partner with stakeholders to source projects across key categories (e.g. Network, IT, retail, marketing).
- Familiar with equipment requirements in Radio Access Network, Transmission and IT Infrastructure.
- Lead the competitive sourcing process, initiate requests for information, quotations, proposals, and negotiate commercial terms.
- Lead major projects from RFP to delivery, including supplier evaluation and award.
- Execute all contractual matters of assigned projects and ensure that they are dealt with effectively.
- Manage vendor relationships and conduct annual evaluations,
- Monitor and analysis trends in CAPEX spending and Inventory control and make recommendations to identify areas for efficiencies and drive savings.
- Oversee procurement reporting (e.g., dashboards, spend analysis).
- Regularly update senior management on procurement activities and initiatives.
- Any other adhoc duties as assigned.
- The candidate should possess the below qualities to fulfil the needs of the role:
- At least 4-6 years’ working experience in strategic sourcing procurement in the Telco industry and familiar with mobile telecommunications network equipment.
- Good educational background, ideally in Supply Chain Management, Economics or Business Administration.
- Strong negotiation skill.
- Resourceful in sourcing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Able to work as a team across the company.
