Our client, a leading manufacturer and distributor of industrial components, is looking for suitable talents to join their growing business as Warehouse & Logistics Supervisor.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plan and coordinate resources for daily inbound / outbound warehouse operation so as to ensure efficient and timely operation of the distribution
• Contribute to the development and modification of warehousing policies and procedures to ensure proper internal control and handling
• Ensure shelving storage management
• Manage inventory accuracy through monitoring of daily warehouse activities, cycle counts, stock takes and audit of same to verify results
• Promote continuous improvement by adopting some production system concept such as Kaizen, Genchi Genbutsu and etc to develop and implement warehouse operation process/workflow so as to optimize efficiency
• Implement and monitor safety procedures in warehouse operations, ensuring team members comply with daily work duties
• Demonstrate strong leadership skills, motivating and organizing the teams members to meet or exceed productivity targets
• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports to Management/JHQ
• Involved in the hiring, training and development of Warehouse personnel

REQUIREMENTS:

• Diploma / Degree in Logistics/Supply Chain Management or other equivalent field of studies
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience
• Willing to do hands on operations and customer service oriented
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Power Point) for data analysis and reporting purposes
• Experience in warehouse / logistics / manufacturing will be an advantage

OTHER INFORMATION:

• Location: West
• Working hours: Monday to Friday + Rotational Saturday
• Salary: Salary will commensurate according to experience & qualifications.

About the Supervisor role:

We are seeking an individual who is interested to learn and commit to being a detail-oriented Purchasing & Logistics Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the procurement of goods and services, managing logistics and supply chain activities, and ensuring efficient and cost-effective operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet cost, quality, and timeline goals.
• Source and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish long-term relationships.
• Supervise the procurement team, providing guidance and support in daily activities.
• Monitor inventory levels and optimize stock levels to meet operational needs.
• Collaborate with other departments to forecast demand and ensure timely availability of materials.
• Oversee the shipping, receiving, and distribution of products, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Coordinate with transportation providers to optimize logistics and minimize costs.
• Evaluate and improve current logistics processes to enhance overall efficiency.
• Resolve issues related to procurement, logistics, and inventory management.
• Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and new technologies to make informed decisions.

Key Requirements:

• Diploma in Engineering.
• 2 to 3 years of proven experience in purchasing, logistics, or supply chain management.
• Preferably in the Oil & Gas or Mining industry.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Knowledge of inventory management systems and procurement software.
• Familiarity with logistics software and transportation management systems.
• Ability to analyse data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards
