Job Responsbilities:
• Assist CM officers in receiving activities of new acquisitions into storage
• Assist in the new acquisition accessioning and updating collection related information into the inventory control system
• Assist in exhibition related activities e.g. retrieval of artefacts for viewing, movement of artefacts to conservation labs, permanent stores, prep rooms, or galleries including creating RFID tags for new items.
• Assist in liaising with appointed art handlers, make arrangements for any collection-related processes.
• Assist in liaising with appointed contractor, set up of the fumigation bubble, and the movement of new acquisitions in preparation for fumigation
• Assist in basic cleaning of artefact after fumigation with arthandlers
• Assist in artefact handling and movement during internal stocktake exercise and paperwork and schedule for stocktake
• Assist in the management of tablets and scanners, including liaising with external vendor for repairs and collection of repaired tablets and scanners
• Assist in routine preventive conservation checks of the storage and artefacts
• Assist in storage projects and offsite stores
• Assist in annual inventorying of equipment/ fixed assets/ furnishing
• Assist in maintaining the Long-term Loan masterlist, related files and loan agreements
• Manage the supply and storage of materials for packing and storage, including sourcing for suppliers
• Assist in sourcing for vendors to fix Collections Management fixed assets and equipment
• Assist in the documentation, inventory activities and storage of collection, including system updates
• Assist in the digitization of current and past documents
Requirements / Other Info:
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Values collaborative work in a large team and mutually contributes to the well-being of the team.
- Must be able to move / transfer and retrieve Artefacts from one location to another location.
- Comfortable to work independently in the assigned room
- Minimum qualification of Polytechnic Diploma, ‘A’ Levels or at least 3 years of relevant experience in the arts industry or operations role.
- Working hours: 8.15am - 5.30pm (Mon-Thurs) & 8.15am - 5pm (Fri) Weekends + PH OFF
- 1 year contract renewable + Up to 1 Month Performance Bonus
- Art Warehouse is located @ Lakeside
