Job Summary:
We are looking for a motivated and energetic Warehouse Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining the smooth operation of our warehouse, ensuring efficient processing, storage, and dispatch of goods. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in receiving and checking incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
• Pick, pack, and label merchandise in preparation for shipping.
• Operate warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks, Reach Trucks, and adhering to all safety regulations.
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment at all times.
• Conduct inventory counts and help manage inventory levels to ensure accuracy.
• Coordinate with the warehouse team to optimize processes and minimize errors.
• Assist in loading and unloading trucks as needed.
• Follow all company guidelines regarding packaging and shipping.
• Report any discrepancies or concerns to the Warehouse Manager immediately.
• Assist in processing returns, following specific procedures and guidelines.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center preferred.
• Forklift certification or willingness to be trained.
• Knowledge in WMS system will be an added advantage.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management software.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving the whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials
