Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify current and potential product shortages, develop and execute recovery, advise interested parties of status and recovery plans
- Release orders based on material requirements planning (MRP) and coordinate the flow of material throughout the customer order requirements
- Coordinate with Purchasing for availability of raw materials
- Coordinate material movement between vendors, warehouse and the production floor
- Assist in the development, implementation, analysis and coordination of the master production schedule
- Utilize Material Requirements Planning system (MRP) to ensure that data is accurate and up to date
- Facilitate transmittal of customer orders to distribution center and manufacturing facilities including shipment and paperwork of international orders; serve as key contact for customer service inquiries
- Maintain and update master files [items, vendors, etc] including new item setup
- Set up and monitor the integrity of Bill of Materials (BOM) and manage inventory accuracy
- Thoroughly review, familiarize and understand existing BOM structure as well as the physical products
- Key participant in developing and managing company SOP, assembly &parts drawing database process
- Manage inventory levels to meet corporate goals
- Coordinate and manage monthly cycle counts for all manufacturing locations and distribution center; key participant in annual physical inventory
- Support inventory checks to validate inventory accuracy; investigate & reconcile discrepancies & negatives
- Posting of daily production and inventory transactions
- Analyze data and collaborate with others to determine and apply appropriate ordering, inventory, and replenishment policies
- Code and prepareproper paperwork for billing and authorization of invoices per defined processes
- Provide department capacity plans, on a weekly basis
- Assist in maintaining the monthly KPI
- Provide reports and requested information as needed
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum diploma or equivalent with 3-5 years professional experience in manufacturing planning, inventory control, materials planning role
- Knowledge and experience with Sales & Operations Planning
- Strong understanding of MRP and supply chain software
- Advanced computer skills, Excel experience mandatory
- Outstanding planning and organizational skills
- Extremely strong analytical and problem-solving skills
