Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet the shipyard's objectives.
Identify and source suppliers for required materials, equipment, and services.
Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers to ensure best value.
Manage vendor relationships and monitor supplier performance.
Coordinate with other departments to understand procurement requirements.
Ensure timely delivery of materials, equipment, and services.
Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and inventory levels.
Stay updated on market trends and industry developments to inform procurement decisions.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, or related field.
Experience in shipyard purchasing or procurement management.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Experience in sourcing and evaluating suppliers.
Knowledge of shipyard operations and materials/equipment used in shipbuilding.
Proficient in MS Office and procurement software.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
