General Overview
This position is part of the IT & Procurement Group providing procurement services to relevant business groups. The candidate shall support the Procurement and Warehouse Manager in ensuring that warehouse operations and activities are performed in adherence to procedures, and safe and efficient operations of goods and equipment.
The candidate performs deliveries, asset management and transaction documentation process, and secure handling of goods. He / She shall also support the implementation of improvement opportunities within the warehouse operations.
This will be a 2 years contract role subject to extension.
Roles & Responsibilities
The incumbent shall undertake the following activities:
- Performs loading/ unloading/ arranging of warehouse cargo and stock items.
- Comply with height, weight and special handling requirements in stacking, moving, and arranging items on pallets according to storage plans,
- Liaise with Users to perform pre-inspection of goods and equipment.
- Performs Goods Received and Goods Issuance transactions in SAP.
- Generates barcode and ensure clear labelling for all inventory items.
- Assist in annual stocktake and cyclecounts.
- Perform warehouse operations in accordance with 5S (sort, set, shine, standardise, sustain) techniques
- Report warehousing issues to Procurement & Warehouse Manager in a timely manner.
- Perform safety and health risk assessment and report WSH incidents.
- Performs any other tasks or participates in special projects as assigned by reporting manager.
Work Experiences
- At least 3 years’ experience in warehouse & inventory management preferably from the LNG, Petrochemicals or Power industries.
- Basic knowledge of SAP / Warehouse Management System (WMS)
- Proficiency in basic Ms Office Applications
- Physically fit for tasks that may involve lifting and moving packages
- Good team player, able to work well independently and in a team
- Fork Lift licence is preferred.
- The candidate should possess the following attributes:
- Sound knowledge of warehousing activities, storage ,receipt and picking.
- Highly proactive with good interpersonal, liaison and facilitation skills.
- High level of integrity
- Good planning skills and able to prioritize the work to complete within timeline.
- Must be able to work towards business group objectives independently with minimal supervision in the day-to-day work environment and be adaptable to changing priorities and assignments.
Education Requirement
- Minimum “O” level and certification in warehousing & logistics or equivalent.
