Goods Procurement Management
- Regularly assess cost-cutting opportunities and ensure prices for goods align with relevant market rates, sourced efficiently, and procured to create optimal value for the business.
- Lead precise demand forecasts with sales and marketing by effectively monitoring and communicating forecasts, changes, inventory estimates, supply situations, business risks, opportunities, and mitigation plans.
- Identify and analyze sales trends and influencing variables, incorporating the analysis into forecasting and inventory planning.
- Exercise spend control and foster a culture of long-term savings on procurement costs.
Strategic Sourcing & Leadership
- Build effective relationships with key suppliers for all food/beverage raw materials, ingredients, and packaging to meet business demands.
- Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing Team to develop and implement short-term and long-term strategic initiatives that enable the business to achieve its growth and profitability objectives.
- Coach the team to acquire the competencies needed for long-term business success and individual career growth.
Policies, SOPs, Business Systems
- Serve as the primary subject matter expert, developing policies and procedures related to procurement and planning.
- Oversee the purchasing system, Costpoint, and provide strategic direction on procurement actions, approval workflows and thresholds, and tracking related to Purchase Requests and Purchase Orders.
- Collaborate with the Finance team to ensure procurement management aligns with corporate standards.
Compliance Management
- Stay informed about Import/Export regulations, coaching and training staff to ensure compliance.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Purchasing/Supply Chains, Business, or a related field required
- Minimum of 5 years of work experience in purchasing, ideally in FMCG, preferably in meat/cheese/cold profucts.
- Proven track record of managing a significant cost of goods with a strong motivation to deliver cost savings.
- Excellent at guiding and mentoring team members to achieve accuracy in forecasts and inventory management.
- Strong leadership skills with good decision-making ability and multitasking capabilities.
- Proven track record of collaboration in cross-functional teams and delivering results as a team contributor and coach.
- Strong business acumen, open-minded approach, and the ability to effectively manage relationships throughout the organization, along with supplier relationship management skills.
