Responsibilities:

• The Category Buyer (CB) supports one or several procurement categories.
• The CB works in close relation with the relevant Global Category Managers (GCM), the Categories Team leader (CTL), the Category Manager (CM) and the Tactical Buyer (TB).
• All actions have to be in line with the strategy defined by the Global Category Manager and the CM. The CB's prime role is the management of the RFI or/and RFP's until PVet 4 stage (up to PVet 5 based on some Regions) in order to provide the competitiveness to the business.

Operational Support:

• Ensure that supplier competitions follow the governance process and are balanced and fair in order to improve business and customer performance.

• Ensure that Thales e-Acquisition and all THALES procurement tools are fully used.
• Based on the performance management of the supply base identify the suppliers who require focused development actions and ensure that the Supplier Development Team have the required support / leverage in order for these actions to be successful.

WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

The Global Purchase to Pay (P2P) organization provides P2P capabilities through a shared delivery model that supports Nike’s growth, by delivering standard, optimized and scalable processes that leverage Nike’s Managed Service Provider (MSP). The Global P2P organization is diverse, inclusive and focused on service delivery excellence through a foundation of continuous improvement.

This role will report directly to the Senior Manager Global Business Support and be responsible for the oversight of process execution performed by Nike’s MSP for the APAC (Asia Pacific) region, providing business support for the Global P2P Organization and key regional stakeholders.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

This role will act as a regional focal point for our P2P organization providing strong partner engagement, regional insights and MSP performance management. The ideal candidate will need to bring an ability to maintain and manage cross functional relationships within a complex environment, driving alignment and acting as a change enabler within the assigned region. With a complex stakeholder environment, the ability to communicate effectively at all levels, building consensus and bringing collaborative energy will be required to grow and maintain trust with stakeholders.

The candidate will be able to story tell though data. Driving analysis and recommendations for process improvement opportunities, leveraging their end-to-end business acumen. They will have the ability to be an effective problem solver, with a drive for understanding the root causes of issues and developing solutions that provide long-term results. • A minimum of 6 years of experience in finance or accounting, with a focus on P2P process delivery, escalation support, regional compliance.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

You’ll be working alongside your colleagues in Purchasing and Invoice to Pay operations to provide regional oversight and business support for our service delivery within the APAC region. Partnering with our MSP, regional and global stakeholders to drive alignment and effective change management as the global organisation continues to standardize and optimize processes and systems ensuring that regional variations and regulatory considerations are understood and considered.

• You will provide enhanced business support for Global P2P operations and our cross functional partners. Acting as the conduit between P2P, Procurement, Controlling, Treasury and local business units for complex problem-solving representing P2P within the region.
• Collaborate with the MSP’s Global and Geo Leads on multiple service delivery activities that require regional insight. Partnering to ensure effective problem resolution, leveraging analytical insights to drive performance.
• Provide operational oversight, training and education to develop the MSP team acumen and build towards a global standard P2P support model.
• Participate in localized business support projects, by staying at the forefront of changes to standards and regulations within the Geo, providing localization recommendations for P2P.
• You will own and drive escalated incidents and issues to resolution, including advanced troubleshooting ensuring effective root causing and recommendations for process improvements where appropriate.
• Evaluate process improvement opportunities and partner with GPO (Global Process Owner) to build global standards. Act as a local champion for Global P2P Policies and Procedures.

• Coordinate with suppliers to resolve issues and track shipments.

• Review requisition orders to verify accuracy, terminology, and specifications tally to BOM item code
• Prepare, maintain and review purchasing files, reports and price lists
• Compare prices, specifications, and delivery dates to determine the best bid among potential suppliers and negotiate for quantity discount
• Match PO with shipping document to ensure correct costing and quantity procured before arranging for supplier payment
• Manage key supplier and contractor relationships
• Conduct periodic stocktake to ensure physical inventory tallies to record
• Perform Suppliers’ Survey for new purchase and conduct yearly Suppliers' evaluation based on ISO audit requirement.
