Responsibilities

• Overseeing daily operational activities of Warehouse dept (e.g. approving of shift schedule for warehouse or packing plant plan submitted by supervisor).

• Department cost saving monitoring.

• Trouble shooting of Warehouse process and initiate and recommend for process improvement activities.

• Investigate, identify and implement corrective actions to recurrent deviations from process norm.

• Co-ordinate with Maintenance department to plan and ensure proper implementation of plant maintenance activities & major equipment calibration.

• Re-verify plant integrity after maintenance of equipment/s.

• Manage and liaise with internal and external contractors.

• Prepare a monthly summary of all activities in the Plant (including in-house contractor cost).

• Issue and approve permits to work systems.

• Perform Plant safety inspection to ensure the safety in all Warehouse operations.

• Conduct training to operational staff as per department's training program.

• Ensure department operations comply to NEA, AVA and Safety regulation.

• Maintain ISO9001, ISO14001, FSSC22000 and HACCP Management systems.

• Ensure that all risk assessment in the workplace is established, implemented, monitored, communicated and documented according to WSH (Risk Management) requirements.

• Any ad-hoc tasks and duties assigned by the Department Head.

Requirements

• Diploma in Mechanical or Chemical Process Technology.

• Programming, computer software (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

• Preferably >5 years working experience in a process manufacturing industry.

• Candidates with knowledge in edible oil processing will have an added advantage.

• Perform daily warehouse duties including but not limited to inbound (receiving, sorting, put-away), outbound (pick/pack/release), materials handling responsibilities and general housekeeping duties
• Check on the quality and quantity of items for receiving and releasing
• Place items into respective locations identify in WMS system
• Packing items according to SOP
• Ad-hoc tasks will be assigned based on warehouse needs

5 days work week (including weekends), 8am to 6pm

• Sourcing & purchasing of material/ equipment
• Liaise with vendors and monitoring of purchase order schedule
• Use of Purchase system with Microsoft Navision
• Reconcile vendors’ DO with PO
• Perform other purchasing duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Min ‘O’ Level or equivalent
• At least 1 to 2 years of relevant experience is required
• Computer knowledge of Microsoft words, Excel and Email
• Experience with Microsoft Navision would be an advantage but not necessary, otherwise willing to learn new software
• Good coordination and communication skills

Job Description:

- Receiving incoming shipment

- Checking of goods condition before at the warehouse

- Ensure inventory items are well-organized, properly stored, handled, and distributed

- Assisting with replenishing stock orders/shelves

- Assist in loading and unloading of goods

- Transporting stock items with a pallet jack

- Ensure a sufficient level of care and attention is given throughout the replenishing process

- Assist in other ad-hoc operations duties
