- Analysis and reporting of relevant risks related to the department function.
- Conduct periodic cycle count activities and ensure all inventories are managed with accuracy.
- Ensure project milestones and commercial controls are achieved with effective planning, efficient logistics, and seamless execution.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, company, quality, environmental, occupational health, and safety standards and procedures.
- Ensure material preservation systems are in line with the manufacturer’s recommendations and good marine practices.
- Proper storage, monitoring, and replenishing of contract items and bulk products like diesel and gases.
- Ensure that all transaction records are updated accurately and promptly.
- Design and implement efficient storage solutions for the stock material and other materials as required and also to check on the condition of existing racking systems.
- Review and implement new processes using the latest technology to improve warehouse operations.
- Provide required resources for all store-related activity to be carried out safely and efficiently both in terms of manpower and equipment.
- Ensure that the stocks of materials are kept at an optimal level to support operational requirements.
- Monitor and report on all quality-related statistics for the department.
- Prepare and implement all systems-related procedures and processes for the activities of the department.
- Interact with all 3 yards regarding the implementation/ customization and utilization of the SAP system.
- Maintain records of Mill Certificates and ensure ease of retrieval.
- Ensure Delivery Orders are signed by end users with name and date.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5-10 years in a similar management position in marine and/or offshore industries.
- At least a Degree in a relevant discipline. For Diploma holders, prior leadership experience (minimum 5 years) in a complex worksite environment will be an advantage.
- Wide knowledge of material handling and warehouse procedures.
- Familiarity with materials used in a marine environment.
- Professional with high integrity and credibility.
- Meticulous, analytical, and forward-thinking, familiar with adopting automation processes or digitalization to improve efficiency.
